just saw the price for the PG27UQ and its on sale for $2600 in Dubai? its already expansive enough at $2000 for a monitor why is it an extra $600? is the extra just for them i dont get it

Import fees, taxes, etc. probably make up for the extra cost.

That's what, a 30% increase? Seems reasonable. Do keep in mind that US pricing does not include taxes. Norwegian pricing is currently at $3200

Don't go live in Dubai if you don't have oil sheik money :P 

 

It's currently €2550 in the Netherlands incl. taxes, which is $3000. I don't see the problem here.

part of it goes to the goverment. I study in the US and it all seems like misleading advertisiment to me. You go and buy 100 usd in groceries and end up paying 110. Everything you see advertised as XXXX cash is missing the tax for each state. so yes it is 2000 in gringoland, but with taxes in my state is 2250 usd. Your price isn't terrible, you may feel decieved, but the US is quite confusing.

ROFLMAO, an LCD for that price, i dont care if its TN, VA, or IPS. Its still LCD, and LCD is still a POS VDU technology.

For that price, buy a 55" OLED. far far far superior image quality.
