Psu wattage for gtx 1070 sli

papo27

Hey guys, this is Austin.

Just kidding.

I have one question for you fellows.

I am thinking about buying second gtx 1070, for sure not right now as prices have skyrocketed, but I hope that they will go down soon. By soon I mean within this year.

Anyway, I wanted to ask you if you think that my Corsair RM 750X 80 plus gold will be enough.

I am running i7 8700k over clocked to 5.0 GHz with 1.37 V. 3 hard drives and ond ssd. My cpu is water-cooled by alphacool eisbaer 420 mm. In addition to 3 fans on radiator I have two more 140 mm radiators in case.

Thanks for replying.

should definitely be fine! if you want tho be sure you could go overkill with something like an 850Watt unit, but you definitely shouldn't need it.

750W is already overkill. The 1070 is a 150W card. Two of those, overclocked, in SLI still doesn't match a single Vega in terms of power draw.

:)
