Thanks for the answer! I will be doing more productivity (spreadsheets, video editing and whatnot). Ill keep your suggestion in mind I think im leaning towards the ultrawide.

So im not quite sure what monitor to pick, i have the option of a 75hrz 21:9 monitor or a 144hrz 16:9. ill be using it for both gaming productivity media etc so my question, is it worth giving up the ultra wide aspect ratio for the higher refresh rate? What do all you think?

There is really now way to tell how long something will last. In my I have never actually had hardware die of age but that's just me.

I want a single video card good enough for high refresh rate 4k now that asus is making a high refresh rate 4k monitor.

How about the new (well fairly new) asus rgb monitors.
