Mass Effect : A / Massive Downgrade confirmed

Praesi

Looks like Story, Conversations, Animations and technical Standarts are not the only things they have downgraded.

BioWare....even for Ubisoft this would be a shame.

Hmmm...why do I find the graphics on the real game looking more "realistic"?

Also, I'd happily take the graphics on the right as it's no where near as blurry :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Have people not figured out yet that all the trailers are pre rendered videos and often aren't actually from the game?

Devs pretend its Gameplay. If i would make my Job like these Fucktards, i would be unemployed within Weeks.

Nowhere in the trailers for ME:A did they ever claim the footage was generated in game. The devs also aren't responsible for any of the marketing of a big budget game like ME:A.

Again, Devs don't do the marketing outside of small teams. How did the devs lie here?

I still think you're getting too rough by comparing it to Ubishit, the game sure wasn't up for it's franchise but it's still playable, now Ubishit games on the other hand are only good to laugh at some, get bored and leave it be.

Wow, the things people complain about these days. :/

How about just play the game and enjoy it for what it is instead of wasting time whining and making these pointless silly comparisons. We ALL know by now, the trailers are all about marketing and should never be taken as actual in-game footage. Most of the time, I find the actual game looks better in the flesh than it does in the trailers. Such is the case with ME:A.

Have played the game for an hour or so thus far and it looks great, IMO. I have no issues with the graphics what-so-ever. I don't see this so called "downgrade" at all.

I like so much better when trailers are cinematic instead of those misleading "in game footage" nonetheless, if anything it's more enjoyable to watch without "promising" any thing.

I agree I'm 34 hours into the game an enjoying my time with it, to me it feels like a combo of ME1 and ME3 with some new mechcanics (the way you can find actual armor/weapons or craft it and wear it).  The animations sure are a downgrade, in some cases down right hilarious at how bad they are, but that doesn't effect the actual game play where you spend 90% of your time exploring the far more open worlds then we've seen in previous ME Games (well ME1 was kinda open on the worlds but they were empty AF) and Insanity difficulty is actually a challenge for once.  Maybe they'll get around to fixing the animations, if not im satisfied with the $46 USD I paid for it on GMG and I'll likely get countless hours out of the multiplayer Like I did with ME3.

Seems like many of the changes are about style and not necessarily quality.

I'll mirror some of the comments people have had in the thread already: it's pretty good.

The only issues I have with it so far are the combat is a little fiddly (you don't stick to cover like you did in ME3), the UI is just...a JOY to operate, and the story is rather familiar, though not unenjoyable.

The animation bugs are there, the weird faces are there, but honestly I don't notice much outside the occasions that have been memed to death by reddit and youtube. It's not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be, especially if you were a fan of the series already.
