Personally, I'd prefer about 3.7 or better. What do you guys think? This will also help me decide on what I should get on my personal build. Thanks!

4GHz is my minimum value for most of my overclocks and 4.5 is target.

For CPUs? RAM? GPUs? I prefer to judge them by their overall performance without discriminating against their clock speeds.

I have to say, this is pretty stupid, there is no such thing as a minimum frequency for gaming, once CPU could be faster at 1GHz than another at 5GHz...

A 10 petahertz would defeat a lot though

only ghz? my prefered ghz is what i can reach for 24/7. now it is 4.3 ghz with my non k i7 3770. if it was k prefered ghz would be 4.5/4.6 ghz

I aimed for 4.6 when I got my 3570K, but ended up running it at 4.96... I have since dropped it to 4.8 as I am running both a Starmade and a Minecraft server 24/7 now.

 

But yeah, 4.6 is my desired clock on post-sandy architectures.

It can be pronounced either way it is technically spelled gigahertz

yea but there the creator came out and said it should be JIF. Giga- is a standard for metric units.
