That's just your screen resolution. Any monitor under 4K will look like that. 4K looks the same you just need to get closer.

My screen is the same size and resolution. I too can see the pixels if I look close, because the pixel density isn't very high. But if I sit back at normal viewing distance, it looks pretty much clear and normal. It's not unusual to actually see the individual pixels on a screen with lower pixel density when compared to a screen with a much higher pixel density - like most modern phones, where you can't actually see the pixels even when you look close (unless it's a low-end phone).

That's exactly what happened to me the day I installed my new GPU, and where all this shit started, I noticed that the screen didn't look as always, I thought it was my monitor but now that I've seen this i'm sure it has to be related, it's not the icons, it's those vertical lines, they aro so much more noticeable with blue colours.
Btw I started to have USB Issues few weeks ago, and had something to do with the speakers, everytime I turn the lights on and off the speakers  make a noise and the USB ports fail, if I unplug the speakers that problem stops, and I noticed that they increase the ground noise when I plug the DVI conector.
Perhaps it's not related but who knows...

I said the same thing (just in a nice way) quite some time ago, when I first started looking into this problem. 

 

If you took the time to read through all the posts, you'd learn that the graphical issues some are experiencing were not always present, but occurred suddenly, from one moment to the next.

 

While some of the issues described are simply a result of low PPI and crappy AA filtering (ROTTR), there are some other issues that go beyond that and are a real problem. 

 

What I find confusing and hard to believe is how some claim the issue has "spread" to other devices (consoles, TV's etc.). This I have yet to see sufficient evidence for and remain very skeptical towards. However, the PC graphical issue, some have brought forward sufficient evidence demonstrating what has happened. 

 

Also, the issue has been claimed to have occurred on low & high-end, Nvidia & AMD GPU's.

I can say i have trouble on the TV too. Railings especially (or something with lot of paralel lines) does the exact same things as on this video, look at the railings ont the Tank (not the same as the post before, juste at the beginning of the vidéo):

While some of the issues described are simply a result of low PPI and crappy AA filtering (ROTTR), there are some other issues that go beyond that and are a real problem. 

 

What I find confusing and hard to believe is how some claim the issue has "spread" to other devices (consoles, TV's etc.). This I have yet to see sufficient evidence for and remain very skeptical towards. However, the PC graphical issue, some have brought forward sufficient evidence demonstrating what has happened. 

 

Also, the issue has been claimed to have occurred on low & high-end, Nvidia & AMD GPU's. 

I know but I fail to see how its nvidia or amd fault, there are a dozens of game engine each one coding differently and each engine can be customize to a specific need. If there was 1 game engine in the world yes probably would be bad drivers from them but with all the variables in play today, how about we play the actual game instead of taking 5h to look at a static screen and complain

It's not necessarily AMD or Nvidia's fault, specifically. We don't know what's causing it. That's the whole point of this thread (and others that are related), to figure out what the cause it and find a solution. ;)

Simple:

Lot of engine use Direct Shader for exemple (and that's my point of view, THIS is the point to look after for expert)... And someone argued it can be a GPU l2 cache disfonction.

BTW: I play BF1, I have near 0 bug (i can find them if i search for them, and they are still hard to find, so, nothing to see with 1080P, AND this is the only game i play 1080P actually, all other i force VSR to get a better result).

BTW²: Titanfal got this bug too BUT you can fix it with TAA (or TSAA not rember wich one) so IT IS software bug, sure at 200%.

BTW3: i tested some old game, all DX9.x / 11.x game are affected. Opengl old game are not (like Spore for example)

And Windows can be a direct trouble too. For exemple Win 10 got trouble with new Ryzen CPU, but win 7 didn't...

So, today changed CPU and Mother board (need to change it any way), know what, it changes nothing.

Second information, MB is totally clean and 0 electricity interferences.

So... I'm allready sure at 99% it is software related. Now?

Funny this topic popped back up. I've noticed this with VR. In VR changes in AA and the like are very noticable. 

 

Seems to be a problem in how the game stores the graphics settings, so even though you think you're at ultra, you're at low settings. You have to change the settigs to low, go in the game, back out and change it to ultra. Only a temporary fix, still working on it myself/

Been playing back the Mass Effect trilogy, aliasing could still be seen without really paying attention, at 1080p with 4xSGSSAA (horrible framerate, playing on laptop, but i might record to show). Played then Mass Effect Andromeda at 900p with TAA, barely noticed aliasing. So as few people said in this topic, TAA actually makes a difference on this issue. Still got ugly texture pop-in thought, guess i have to blame game engines on this.

Jinx, can you use VSR? (Virtual super resolution)


In my case on TitanFall 2, Taa + 4K (using VSR my screen is still a 1080p) it is the best setting. (it was me talking about TAA working)

Can't try on ME: Andromeda, i do not have it :(

No I can't use VSR or DSR sadly, i'm on Optimus technology, so got just one tree of options on the Nvidia control panel, everything else regarding display is controlled by Intel (i can't emulate 2K or 4K resolution with it neither).

 

As far as I know, that's maybe the only game right now that i have with TAA, TXAA actually didn't change much on GTA V for me at 1080p. Have no aliasing issue with Amnesia The Dark Descent as well, but that's probably because i'm playing it on OpenGL.

 

I will also download back Mirror's Edge Catalyst and try again tweaking settings, pretty much sure had no flickering there too with TAA.

Ok so, because of you i checked BF1 AA.

It was in TAA. Switched to FXAA to see... And this fucking flickering appears...

So, EVEN DX12 is impacted, at least ALL is impacted until you use TAA.

The only fix to this bullshit is TAA, and 10% of the games i play got it :(.

^This screenshot serves to prove something. If you download or open in new tab and expand to full size, you'll notice it looks flawless. No image quality issues at all. (Unless I'm missing it?) This proves my suspicion in this case, that the GPU is rendering the image just fine. 

 

Honestly I still see no issue here, even with the up close pictures you took before. Any time you take an up close picture or look closely at a screen that doesn't have particularly high pixel density, you will see the pixels like that. So in this specific case, I can only conclude that this is simply what you get with a lower PPI display.

 

Here's a picture I took of my display at work. It's a 24" 1920x1200 Dell panel. It's of fairly good quality as we work with AutoCAD, but you can see similar anomalies in that the pixels are clearly visible as well as the pixel lines. However, when I'm sitting back at normal viewing distance, everything looks  clean, crisp and normal (I cannot see those lines nor the pixels).

Ok,

So, i think nothing is wrong on the desktop.

But, AA problem is real.

I tested it, but cant show it in BF1 (don't know why any record is laggy even if i save my stream, but my stream are not laggy... i don't understand, all other games do not have this trouble).

So, when you de-activate TAA, the exact same trouble as any other games appears. 100% no need to reload the game, just going into the option menu and back on the game, and BOOM it's here.

So i really think my (our) troubles are linked with AA, i think the guy with the l2 cache is nearer than me for the solution.

BY THE WAY, my seller did agree to the return of my GPU, they will NOT charge me if they can't find the error, and will replace it. So, do they know something i don't?
