Also, @FuriousGamer I would imagine that Amazon.fr would have a decent selection of PC parts that would for sure ship to France.

I doubt the smaller stores will work. They tried that before Tiger Direct bought the domain and it just left a bad taste in everyones mouth. I doubt anyone would trust the name anymore.

Very true. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see if they might be able to get beyond that. Though with a lot of people buying stuff online, they've ought to got something to make their stores seem convincing or it'll probably be another flop.

Anyways... I did post about the status about Circuit City.

The web domain was purchased by Tiger Direct.

EDIT read the follow up post that it was bought from TD

Circuit City did file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and ceased operations in 2009. For a short while they did come back with an online storefront (possibly with some TigerDirect branding) but nowadays circuitcity.com redirects to the tigerdirect website.

Well it would seem that they're going to try at it again opening their first storefront in Dallas, TX and plan on opening 50 to 100 corporate stores and 200 to 300 franchise stores. These stores would be smaller than the old stores, and it would be more of a boutique shop.
