Convincing my parents to let me buy a gaming pc.

Hi im 13 and I am trying to convince my mom to let me buy a gaming pc I have a laptop  She said ok you can get your new computer and 1 month later she said NOOOO YOU CANT GET IT INVEST YOUR MONEY. What can I do I want to have a good setup I had hours put into my finding peripherals and arranging things and figureing out how to do led's around my desk and in my pc but she wont let me get it.

Find a way of earning money, you can't just demand stuff from your parents and expect them to give it to you.

 

My first "PC" was a third hand 2002 iMac G3:

 

 

And through that I learnt a little bit of photoshop and offered background (back in the day) for Youtube for like £5 a piece, they were shit but I earnt enough for a laptop.

 

Moral of the story, save up and buy your own stuff or at least try and got 50/50 with them and say you need it for school if you're willing to lie.

a gamimg pc is quite a good investment, you wil learn useful things while building it and you wil most likely have it for a long time if you take good care of it.

You're 13. If your parents say no, your only other option is to put money aside until you can afford to buy it for yourself.

First off dont call it a gaming PC second off find other reasons to have it besides gaming. Tell them if they get it for you you will go to linda.com (offer code linus) and learn a new skill like coding or Auto cad Plus you can use it to do school work and take it with you to college give them a reason that you need to spend a bunch of money on a system for you.

Well. desktops are easily upgradeable. so you won't throw it out in a year or two. that's an argument.

But anyway, come up with some scheme on how it will advance your knowledge within editing and graphics generation, say that it will help you with school homework and revision, blargh blargh. Just include school.

Show her how much you love gaming and why. Than it won't look so bad of an investment.

Maybe also put up some good points why it aint just for gaming and that it will last you along time.

At the age of 13 parents say what you can and cant do with your money sadly... Hey, my mum still gets pissed at me when I spend my money from working in hosting. Parents dont understand everything that a computer does, and they didn't want me to get one but if I didn't I wouldn't be where I am now. Just come up with something good, and you might convince them.

That is horrible advice... Listen to her and work on learning things on lynda.com so that she has a reason to let you buy it...

If I would have taken that advice when I wanted to start gaming My mom would return all the parts and keep the money.
