If money isn't a factor what headphones?

Guest Console Peasant
Go to solution Solved by SSL,

honestly I don't see the point of ultra expensive on-ear headphones.

by the time you drop 2k on the cans and another 1k on the amp aren't you just better off with a proper 5.1/7.1 or even a stereo system?

high-end IEMs on the other hand...

Probably not, although I would question the logic that ultra expensive anything has a point.

For On ear headphones

A pair of Stax

24 fps for that "cinematic" feel

After a couple weeks of behavioral sciences at my school I can easily conclude my parents need to grow up.

I've got Ath-m50s from audio technical and I love them but think solid gold Beats would be a nice way to express how much of an asshole you are...

Really not that great, they have some total harmonic distortion, and apparently not the best driver control due to single-sided magnets.

If money was no option, I'd own a pair of LCD-3's and HD-800's.

Have owned LCD-2's and HD800 in the past, unfortunately didn't have the money to keep them around.

I was just answering the other part, which headphones.

I'm not a fan of on-ear headphones.  IMHO in-ears are better for portability.
