Worst Tech mistake you have ever made?

The GT 210 i spent $30 dollars on.
the fact that i haven't used the same PC for more than a year straight.
All three of the computers i've used in the last little while were pre-builts that i threw my GT 210 into
I used VGA for a long time to use a second monitor
THAT folder...
my plan to spend less that $300 for a complete system and game on it

How's that?

This may be seen as embarrassing but I'm actually quite proud of my Samsung 840 that's duct taped to the back of my motherboard tray.

the fact I have had 6 hardware failures in 4 months, also, my CPU power cable doesn't reach behind the MOBO tray, doesn't reach over the graphics card, so it has to go under the graphics card...

I use a VGA monitor and have one exhaust fan currently but I just ordered a Noctua NF-P12 1300 so that's soon to change

I was too lazy to buy SSD enclosures for my drive bays, so I could crammed them and their cables into a 3.5" bay haphazardly.  Not my proudest moment but 2 years running no issues.

Cable management behind the back panel. It was just about perfect in the beginning, but revisions and additions happened and I have procrastinated with getting it done properly since, sad to say.
