It's still not sure if the card would be shipped with 4GB of GDDR5 with a 256-bit bus using the GM204 core or if it'll be with 2GB of GDDR5 with a 128-bit bus using the GM206 (Maxwell) core.

Also worth noting, is that the card is equipped with 1x 6pin connector.

Well, I sure hope it comes with the GM204, that would be pretty interesting.
And I also hope the release price is true, really hyped up for this card to get released.

--------------------------------------UPDATE---------------------------------- 1/3/15 (GMT 8+)

Nvidia to release 3 graphics cards later this month, probably around January 22-ish

GTX 960, GTX 960 Ti and GTX 965 Ti

Quoted from Kitguru:
"
The GeForce GTX 960 is projected to be based on a brand-new code-named GM206 chip with 128-bit memory bus and unknown amount of stream processors. The GeForce GTX 960 Ti and GeForce GTX 965 Ti are reportedly powered by cut-down GM204 graphics processors with 256-bit memory bus. The GeForce GTX 960 Ti will sport 1280 stream processors, whereas the GeForce GTX 965 Ti will feature 1536 stream processors."

Nvidia-Geforce-GTX-960-GTX-960-Ti-GTX-96

As you can see from the Graph, the GTX 960 just barely beat out the GTX 760, which is pretty disappointing since the GTX 970 completely destroyed the GTX 770 in terms of performance gains. However, the GTX 960 Ti doesn't seem to disappoint, managing to beat the R9 280x and the GTX 770 by 8-10%~

But of course, this isn't really official, we'd have to wait and see at CES this week.

What do you guys feel about about this? Did this suprise you or was this expected? Discuss down below! 8^)

honestly Most x60 cards are 250~300 especially at launch soo I don't see this being any different and at that price point it'll be basically pointless compared to say 290 or 290x

Well, who knows? they don't really have anything to compete with the R9 270x at that price point, maybe they'll adjust the pricing based on that?

The r9 270x really seems to be the best bang for your buck GPU at the 200~ price range.

Oh yeah, I forgot about how the pricing of the 280x have really gone down there at the US.

The prices here didn't change a bit, doesn't really make sense to buy a 290/290x here since it still costs around 475~$

and the 280x about 300$

I wonder what the 4K performance would be like with dual cards...if it's 2GB VRAM I wouldn't even touch it, but 4GB might change my mind.

What's with the images that were spoiled? Am I missing something?

Card looks a bit ugly, but for 200$, guess you can't complain?

If that graph is accurate, Nvidia ballsed it up by waiting too long to launch the card if the R9 285 is beating it.

760 was £200 ish here in Uk at launch, if it is at the same price, then it is at r9 290 territory that is £210ish, that performs at gtx970 level....

R9 390 where are you :(

That's not the card, it's a reference GTX 760

Yeah, jokes aside with heat and other things, the R9 290 is a way better value than the GTX 960 is shaping up to be. At this rate, I'd prob grab an R9 380X to replace this aging GTX 560 ti.
