So Ubisoft wants to you climb mount everest. This might actually break Linus's Highlander highest elevation lan party record. :P

 

Its open to US residents only and Ubisoft will pay for the return trip to Nepal for 14 nights! So anyone entering? I would go to see Mount Everest but meh, been there done that.

I've never climbed a mountain before and Mt. Everest certainly wouldn't be the first one I'd attempt.

I wonder what will happen to this "campaign" when somebody falls of the mountain......

EDIT: Or the guy freezes his fingers off and cant play (that would be.....kind of amusing ironic actually)

But, alrighty nonetheless. I can't see this happening in the slightest. They're trying too hard to be cool, and it's most likely going to end up with injuries and/or a flump.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

People will risk their life because of a f**kin  game...Ubisoft has lost it, Don't they know that MT Everest already killed over 200 people.

Or even death...seriously, why would they choose Everest? It's one of the most difficult mountains to climb.

For some reason I get the feeling that we wont be hearing from this campaign at all. I think it will suffer from a lack of participants.

He/She probably will not be able to play the game on that mountain because they can't login to Uplay.

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Depends on the person really. Some can get pretty hard with altitude sickness.

I think frostbite kicks in less than an hour that high up

As long as you are well protected frostbite won't be a problem. As long as there is oxygen which they will carry to the top. They should be fine. I have been upto the base camp. It ain't that bad.

I've had severe scoliosis for around 10 years, it didn't stop me from doing anything, dont let it stop you :P
