Cm "silently" blows in the silencio 652s case

brownninja97

41a.jpg

Firstly dont ask what that thing on the side, coolermaster probably dont know. Anyways we have a clean metal front panel in matte black. Dual usb 3.0 and 9 in one card reader, then the other mainstream hipster crap like power buttons and whats this, god its a side panel.

41c.jpg

Onto the interior we have foam padding in the front, the top(removable for fans) and the side panels. There is then two 120mm fans in the front and a single exhaust. These are fancy FP cm fans which do some crap and have pixel dust to make them last longer then noctua fans goml linus. Then there are vents everywhere and there are filters everywhere, they should like filter your cpu and gpu, maybe your motherboard, you never know where dust might spawn, yes kids dust spawns, it isnt science, just accept it like phones on planes. The fans are rated for 11dba, thats very low, they probably spin at 100rpm.

There are then 3 5.25 drive bays, 9 3.5 slots and or 10 2.5 bays or you can just rip the bays out and use them as defence against define R4 fans because you know they will be pissed that you got this case.

Ok it turns out that side lost thing is a fan mount, there is a padded bit there if you want silence or if you need bullet to the knee performance then rip that panel off, throw it at your pet(dont blame me for repercussions) and fan that thing up.

As for max gpu length: 423mm (for reference a 7990 is 307mm) also this is without the drive bay.

41d.jpg

There are rubber feets are the bottem to prevent ground scratching and vibrations and also so your psu can breath, yes machines need to breath as well.

You can also shove a 240mm rad at the top, push pull ready and of course a 120mm rad in the place of the exhaust fan.

Price:

99euros

(estimates for next few prices, converting in other words)

$137

£81

Overall rating: 8.5/10

Wish there were more fans espeically at that price range, considering the last few cases ive seen this lags behind in the fan sector but its not final, things might change.

Sorry Cooler Master, but you did not catch me this time. Ugly as butt.

EDIT: Also, no RGB lighting.

Could the thing on the side be an optional fan mount that is covered when not in use to reduce noise?

My bad you already corrected yourself about it.

Yeah noticed afterwards, I do agree that it would be great for throwing at a pet.

On another note I might be interested in this case if it is at a reasonable price because I am after a quieter case.

Apparently it is already for sale, I need to read things better so I look like less of an idiot.

Why are people hating on the case? Did I miss something?

It looks decent in my opinion.

I have the feeling that its the side panel latch, its not too bad, that angle doesnt do it justice.

I personali own its little brother the Silencio 352 Case. so far i am quite pleased with it and had no problems at all and must say for the price it is hard to get a better silence oriented case, i wouldn't be suprised that the same logic applies to this one.

oh only thing is i don't like is the hard drive tray, it is unnesesery.
but this one lokes promising, if i ever concider upgrading to a full ATX motherboard this yust might be the case......

I think everyone is trying for minimalistc cases. Compared to Fractal Design, Corsair, and NZXT, this is poo poo.

You should add thermaltake to that list, the t81 destroys a lot of cases.

$140 for probably cheap fans, bad space for cable management (and probably nothing added like ties or straps on the case itself) as well as standard drive cages and no rubber grommets. I don't know who would buy this but steer clear of it. There's better cases below, at or only slightly abover this price. That case looks rugged but not nearly enough for me to ever consider dropping over $100 on.

Is that thing on the side the one you see on drive-thrus where they hand you your food or something?
