However, I've been living life with my phone set to 110% silent / vibrate only mode for the last 3-5 years. It's so liberating knowing that I'll respond when I want to / am able instead of feeling high levels of anxiety knowing that my phone could ring or notify me of a message at any minute.

I just use the default Apple shit. I don't get texts and calls often enough to care about ringtones.

Is..is it that compressed?

Nope, I have the original uncompressed track. People are just too silly to learn how to properly encode videos without making them poopy.

phone is always on vibrate so it doesn't matter. I never change my ringtone since anyone that knows me knows to send a text instead of calling

Judge the product by it's own merits, not by the Company that created it.

I essentially always use the integrated ringtones, if I even hear them (phone is usually set to mute or vibrate). I own a Xiaomi which doesn't feature the standard Android ringtones, so the telephone ringtone is called Fairyland, the notifcation tone is called "Incoming Message" (yeah, very creative of Xiaomi...). For my alarm clock, I use Love Takes Time by Mariah Carey because you don't get a heart attack when it starts.

I'm currently using the ringtone from One Missed Call as my ringtone:

And the Wilhelm Scream as my notification sound:

anyway I use the default ringtone as I could never make the USB sync work, not even with my ancient PC that had Windows 2k, bs.

I genuinely have no idea what my ringtone and my notification sound is, as I always have my phone on silent. I do, however, have a watch which often vibrates if there's a message, but before I got that watch, I'd only see my messages and such when I actually opened my phone. Notification sounds are just annoying, I'll decide myself when to look. :P And there's the issue that if I turn those sounds on, that WhatsApp makes a stupid sound when sending messages, which is quite frustrating. :P
