Hey i live in santa ana and i am looking for a good but relatively cheap gaming chair. My budget is around $400 but i am in no hurry.

I got a GTRacing chair here. Really comfortable and cheap ($140 USD) but there are probably better options out there.

Gaming seats sorta suck and are over priced for what they are. I suggest just going to Office Max/Depot, IKEA, or some other office supplies store and getting a comfy, ergonomic, and supportive chair. Gaming chairs typically are modeled after sports care bucket seats meant to keep you from sliding left or right in a car. They can also be very firm and lack lumbar support. For $400 you can get a pretty decent office chair that is comfier and better for you. It won't look as cool but who cares if you can't sit in it for more than 3 hours straight

Don't get a gaming chair. They're horrible. Get something ergonomic, that's actually good for your body.

honestly gaming chairs are kinda shit in my experience, going to Staples and finding a good quality chair is going to serve you a lot better for a lot longer. Plus you can actually test it first and find one that is going to feel right for you, and you can always shop online after you find one you like.

Keep in mind a good quality office chair is designed for years of 8 hours a day 5 days a week use. gaming chairs are designed to suck money out of gamer's pockets.

Gaming chair is a style not a type.

 

You get cheap gaming chairs and ergonomic gaming chairs just like you get cheap office chairs and ergonomic office chairs.

 

I highly recommend going after a high quality ergonomic chair if your looking to invest in comfort for long gaming sessions.

I bought a NobleChairs Hero and their footrest for my girlfriend so she can use my setup without her feet dangling.  I'm 6' she's 5'1" and we both swear by it.  PU leather is highly durable and attractive so don't be fooled by real leather as an expensive alternative.  The other route is Herman Miller, which I didn't wan to drop the insane amount of money on.  The Hero is built extremely well and was pretty easy to set up as well.  Generally I'd stay away from "plush" as a term describing a good chair.  Ergonomics is much more important, especially built-in lumbar support!

Time and time again i repeat myself, those so called "gaming chairs" are complete bullshit.

I had an AKRacing Pyro for quite a while, while it was quite sturdy and the materials were decent the seating position was just plain bad no matter how you adjusted it, it came with some hard pillows to account for that but they don't quite work either.

Sometime ago i decided i was fed up with it, i drove to a nearby office supply store and tried a few Cavaletti chairs for a change, which is a local brand that offers a 6 years warranty on any of their products, i ended up buying a 3001 and i'm happy with it since.

So, at the end it all comes back to testing, you have to test and make sure you feel confortable with the chair.

honestly ive tried alot which is always what i would reommend if possible.

i tried gaming chair and lounge chairs and even more expensive "ergonomic" chairs. its all personel preference. me i like my ikea markus the best so far. the armrests could be a bit wider and softer but other than that i think im sticking with it for the forseable future especially for the price.
