This is pretty much covering up the failed Youtube rewind and you cant tell me otherwise.
 
Honestly its probably just enough of their Darling creators went to them and complained that they didnt like the negativity and it was affecting them so they just removed it. It was bound to happen with how Soft a lot of people are on the web when it comes to criticism

Interestingly their website contains nothing but this press release statement. Looking at the waybackmachine there is no archived version before November 1, 2021 (which is also the same press release statement)
What does "Meta Company" actually do?
 
Edit: Checked the social media pages linked in the statement on their website. The Twitter account was created October 2021, only has 2 tweets about Facebook stealing their company name. Their Facebook account only has 1 image posted on November 1, 2021. Their Instagram account has 1 post from November 2, 2021.
 
For good measure I also checked Illinois company registrations, there's no "Meta Company" registered in Chicago, Illinois - at least not that I can find.
 
All signs point to them just being domain parkers trying to make a quick buck off Facebook's rebrand. Zero sympathy from me. inb4 they are some illuminati who will only sell the domain to Facebook if Facebook takes their kid to Facebook Expo.
