The 5600X is better than 5700G for gaming. The 2 less cores are less important than half the cache. 5600x has 32MB of L3 Cache vs 16 MB of the 5700G.

If you really want the X570, go for it. At the end, you are building a high end system with almost zero compromises. But regardless of that, we like to find improvements in the build you just posted.

If money is not that important and you want the top of the top for future profing and you like Gen4 a lot, go for the X570 and a 5900X/5950X. But, as I said before, you may no notice any difference between a X570 and a B550 (and Gen4 vs Gen3) in your everyday usage.

no it's ok to do so. but there are benefits of having your game and file on a different drive. if there is an issue with your os you can simply reinstall without having to figure out what to do with your files/games

3200Mhz should be more than enough.

My parts? I upgraded CPU, Mobo and Ram but I'm reusing all my parts for my previous setup. GPU upgrade is still pending.

    CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
    Mobo: Asus Strix X570-E Gaming
    Ram: G.Skill Trident Z Neo (2x16GB) 3600MHz CL16
GPU: My old Colorful RTX 2060 6GB
Storage: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 250GB (for OS), WD 2TB Blue Nand SSD (games and aplications), WD 2TB Blue HDD (for mass storage)

As you can see, is not that fancy. I'm waing since the end of last year for a new GPU but I'll have to wait longer till the prices lower a bit more.

I'm not mad neither I tought you were not appreciative! Sorry if I made you think that. Just want to emphasize that If you want a top of the line PC, get a top of the line PC. Is not wrong to have the money and spend it as you like. A lot of people want (and need) to save up money were they can in different components so that's why we try to emphasize that.

Nevertheless, do as you like and is never wrong to learn all you can about something before buying it. It will help you easy some potential buyers remorse.

I have the G.Skill Trident Z Neo (2x16GB) 3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 ram. Is really good if you don't want to mess with the timings by yourself. Just set DOCP on and let it be. Is, ofc, no the top of the line, but does a great job for the price.

In the minute 15:10 you can see all the B550 tested and all are good. If you can choose anyone, pick the one that fits your needs the most. All three of them can handle a 5950X if you wanted to so no worries (check the graphs of the video).

With regards of the two M.2 Gen4, to be honest, is really hard to notice the difference between a good Gen3 and a Gen4 M.2 in the real life, for normal use. So don't think too much about that and choose the one that fits your need (For example, if you want Wi-Fi/Bluetooth included with the Mobo. I thinkg there is a version of the MSI Carbon that has that.)

    Good luck!

Edit: In the video, you can see a brief explanation of each of the three motherboards you are trying to choose from.

As @jaslion said, the Asus X570-E is a bit too much. I have one with an 5900X and is overkill. You can save a bit switching the mobo for a good B550.

Regarding about the ram, I was to advice to get 32gb for that kind of build but I just read the **Note, so good for you.

Have a good time and sorry that the GPU prices are so overinflated.

As long as you use less than 16gb of ram, it will have almost the same performance as 2x8gb. The moment you need more, it will depend in a few factors.
    1) Is the 16gb stick dual rank? (in CPU-Z --> SPD ---> Ranks will tell you if it's dual or not). Most 16gb sticks are dual rank, therefore you could have almost the same benefits.
    2) You surpase the 16gb of use while doing something that requires faster ram? (gaming, i.e.) If you are working with large files in some programs that are not ramspeed sensitives, it won't affect your performance noticiable either.

Even though is true 2x16gb will be ideal, I don't think the performance loss is really that big. Try playing or benchmarking some games/applications with 2x8gb (in games or programs that don't force you to use more than 16gb) and then put the same configuration as shown in the picture. That way you can see if it's worth it the cost of a new stick/sticks.

    Good luck.

You will be more than fine with 750W. If you have doubts, see this:

Don't worry. It will be able to handle an I9-10850K+RX6800 XT/RTX 3080.

I wanna stress the importance on saving a few bucks to "upgrade" after. If you buy an I3/I5 to buy an I9 in the future, I get it. But if you are going for a 10700K, just aim for the 10 cores. There would be no more "upgrade" path neither with AMD nor Intel. Next gen will probably be DDR5 so we will all have to swapp Mobo, Ram and CPU.
Furthermore, the 11gen CPUs from Intel are not worth it. Grab the 10850k that's at most 2-3% worst than the 10900K and enjoy.

Oh, and you will NEED 32GB for streaming, gaming and having "several overlays/background aplications".

I would recommend AMD but now is hard to find at reasonable prices.

Okey, so storage is not a problem. Your cpu is way too powerful for the gpu, it will be a bottleneck for the processor. Seems like a waste of resourses. Would you be interested in a cpu downgrade in exange for a better gpu? That way both will be in the same tier. I switched the psu also, I think you don't need more than 500~550w.

You can try a few things. First, as they said, switch your card to another pcie slot and see if it works. If it doesn't, try with another cable from the psu to the gpu, maybe it's faulty. If that does not work either, try another psu and see if that's the problem.

I really don't know know much about X570. I've read that the Asus TUF WIFI is good but can't can't tell first hand. MSI is really good but the PRO CARBON and the MPG X570 (at least this first version) are not. The new one (UNITY), the one featured in the video, seems pretty good. MSI is a brand that listen to the customer and fix their products. Nevertheless, look for specs and price for any of the ones in the video or ask for help in the motherboard forum. I really can't choose one, just say which you should not get.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3400g (it comes with an integrated gpu so it will save you a couple of dollars)
    GPU: Not need it
Motherboard: Any B450 MAX (the "MAX" ones will work with 3xxx series without the need of flashing the bios)
RAM: 2x8gb 2933Mhz - 3000MHz (any one similar will be allright, the cheapest you can find)
    PSU: Any 450W 80+ bronze
    HDD/SDD: 1x1TB 7200RPM HDD Western Digital/Seagate

    Hope it helps, buddy.

Ryzen will recognize all 32gb but maybe you won't need them in the short term. If you need the money, sell them and use 16gb but if you can afford it, leave it. There is no harm on having a bit more ram and even Hardware Unboxed made a video showing it helps a little bit have 32gb instead of 16gb.

So, in the end, it will work fine, system will see and use 32gb. If you don't need the money, keep it.

Then, in 2021 o so, buy some chep Ryzen 3600 or similar. The pc will last a lot of years and he won't have to switch mobo or ram. If I'm saying something wrong, sorry.

You can download HWmonitor to check your VRMs temps. But, as driftz240 said, even a 3900x works in a cheap B350. You'll have no problem with yours and a 3600 or similar

Relax, with that extra fan I'm even more sure that you will be able to enjoy your pc for a long time. Just remember to upgrade to 16gb sometime in the next few years.

No, think of it as an A320 with more features. You can have an A320 and play at stock everything with almost every ryzen processor. This is a bit better because it allowes you to OC low end ryzen processors. High end, could try but won't recommend. It says in the specs of the MB that it can sustain without problem up until a 105W chip. So, with the 3600 65W, you should be more than okey.
