AMD option:

Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($124.95 @ Amazon)
Memory: Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory  ($116.99 @ Amazon)

You can also consider 5600G if you want to save some money, but I think the 5700G is a better long term CPU.

Intel option:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F 2.9 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($299.00 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: Scythe FUMA 2 51.17 CFM CPU Cooler  ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI MAG B460 TORPEDO ATX LGA1200 Motherboard  ($155.81 @ Amazon)
Memory: Silicon Power GAMING 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($98.99 @ Amazon)

You can also consider the 10400f, but same logic with amd option. I think 8 cores is generally a better long term CPU, especially if you plan to keep the build for a while.

You can also get a 2X8 GB of ram first then upgrade it later down the line.

Oh that's rough to hear 😞. If you're asking about the mobo I recommended, yes they are pretty similar in features and build. I believe the aorus elite has 1 more pcie 3.0 x16 slot, but that's normally not very important for most people.

Yes that's a good ram kit. I use it 😄

Why a 5600G/5700G instead of 5600X/5800X? G has les L3 cache and lacks PCI-e4.0!

Depends on the exact model number and version number. There are 20 different versions of that particulair RAM.

So is the 5600X better then the 5700G with less cores and less threads? Id go for the 5800x but its a bit pricy at about 513 usd. As for the ram was thinking CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18..

The 5600X is better than 5700G for gaming. The 2 less cores are less important than half the cache. 5600x has 32MB of L3 Cache vs 16 MB of the 5700G.

Watch second half (dGPU part) and you'll see what we mean.

This is a good point. The 5600x/5800x is definitely faster than their G counterparts. I'm just not too sure if it would really make much of a difference with the 5700XT. The test does it with the rtx 3090, but I'm by no means an expert in all things computing

That's good because Z is Ryzen optimized.

Do you have a link to a shop for computer parts in Norway?

Edit: In Norway i7-11700 is a better deal than 5700G and 5800X https://www.komplett.no/compare?id=1180156&id=1172139&id=1189381 Add a nice MB https://www.komplett.no/product/1179786/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/hovedkort/intel-socket/asus-tuf-gaming-b560-plus-wifi-hovedkort and RAM https://www.komplett.no/product/893831/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/minnebrikker/corsair-vengeance-lpx-ddr4-3200mhz-16gb

What's your current CPU cooler?

The i7 might be a good choice tho i dont know when they will have it in stock. Some other site might have it tho. Am currently using Intel TS13X Liquid Cooling for my cpu. Thinking about just going aircooling but would need a new case i think as well.

Thank you for taking the time in looking that up on a norwegian site, much appreciated!
