Max ram speed for amd cpu.

So im wondering if 3200mhz RAM will work with ryzen 5 2600 or 2400g because if I look at the max ram speeds on other sites it says its max ram type is ddr4-2933.

Please help.

Yes, it should. I have a Ryzen 5 2600X with 2x8GB 3600MHz and works fine.

That's just a conservative estimate since some boards / CPUs arn't compatible with faster speeds but it comes down to a silicon / memory lottery.

The speed depends on the motherboard,

I use 2x8GB 3466MHz CL16 no problem with my Ryzen 5 2600.

Latency is important too,the lower it is the better.
