It's a 20-count package of cable ties. You get 20 of them. Not 400.

Now, is $15 USD a lot for 20 cable ties? Unquestionably, yes. I can buy a 100 pack of Velcro brand cable ties for $30 CAD, or a 25 pack for $13 CAD.

So, is it outrageous? Not when you consider that you're mostly paying for LTT custom branding. But it's definitely a little on the expensive side of things.

wANKER reacted to For Science! in 140 Revo D5 Pump Speed 'revving' despite fan curve config
Asus motherboards have safety features that ramp most fans to 100% when the BIOS detects temps over 75 degrees for sensors tied to CPU temperature (iirc). To get around this for a custom loops, you should install a 2-pin temperature sensor for the loop and have your fans and pump tied to this instead (usually called T_SENSOR1)

The moral approach here is to do what they've told you to do.
They have their reasons. Processing returns and restocking items, especially on bulk items, is expensive.
So the cost of the product + the value in customer service, is probably more worthy to them than you returning it.

Depends on the architecture and infrastructure to secure. You could do VLANs if you only need L2 separation locally on the switch or if you need L2 and L3 upstream then introducing VRFs at L3 is the next logical step possibly along with firewalls to ensure upstream destined traffic doesn't hairpin back down and try to access a different VRF when/if you merge them at some point. I'm seeing more trends away from dedicated DMZ architectures though and a hybrid approach with VLANS/VRFs and firewalls, or in larger networks micro-segmentation of some sort on the host to permit and deny traffic at the host level so you can merge stuff and cut down on costs. Everything has it's risks and trade offs to some degree but it really depends, obviously, on what you want to secure and how sure you have to be that it's as foolproof as possible.

For me, it'd depend on how valuable the information assets on my network were.

At my house for my personal needs? Or even a small business with few or no internal resources/servers? I'd probably just do a VLAN. Theoretically it can be secure provided it's set up correctly, but the stakes aren't terribly high if something is wrong.

At a large company with mission-critical and/or proprietary data on internal servers? I'd probably separate physically to prevent human error, firmware security holes, etc. Too much risk involved in that scenario IMO.

The stock AMD cooler will work fine if you don't want to overclock, and you'd just want to add a case fan or two in the back as exhaust to go with the three intake fans that come with the case. Unless you go with a different case of course.

its best to avoid ANY year of the N47. The later years do have less failures .. but they still happen.
Technically if you replace the chain and its guides it shouldnt have any issues... some somehow do end up failing anyways

Actually its best to avoid that generation of 4 cylinders in general diesel and petrol. All have the exact same issue and you never know when it will go Boom

You are correct. Some of them actually simulate the key stokes, which is worse

The point was that you shot down a perfectly reasonable and sane preventative measure to an additional security risk, on the basis that if someone has access to your webcam they have full control of your laptop and need not worry about the snapshot of your face. It's just tin foil hat and paranoia
Which isn't necessarily the case, as taking the stream of a webcam isn't to say they have full control over your computer. Attacks not performed by script kiddies generally have a structured goal and set out to achieve that goal - which might be a full zombie, it might be for some webcam porn.
But to say a preventative measure to a single risk is pointless because there's greater, additional risks, is just plain retarded.

So on the same basis, should I not bother with a password manager etc. because if there's a key logger installed on my laptop, having long and complex passwords is the least of my concerns?
