In what is an ongoing trend among internet new providers, companies are now replacing their journalists with computers that could write their own news articles. MSN is the latest to be hit with this change.

Thoughts: Years ago journalists made fun of programmers and other blue collar jobs about they are far less paying and not much of a contribution to society. Jump to 2019 now they get mad when twitter tells them to learn coding. This trend of human writers replaced with computers isn't likely to stop, just like the industrial revolution. I couldn't think of ethical concerns about this either.

I am both amused and concerned.

What's with this forum and the expectations of us being able to read the future? No, we don't specifically know when they'll drop, nor do we know specific prices just yet. We'll wait and see how they both turn out.

This just sounds horrible. For all the good it can do it will do so far more worse things. Once anyone with bad intentions gets access to this be it a single person, a group, a government or whatnot things can easily spiral out of hand.

Lots of youtubers I've been following recently have reported surges in viewer counts, especially in the first hour they upload. Sadly they have also reported losses in income compared to this time last year which makes almost no sense. Surely advertisers are seeing this increase and viewers.

A lot of states are going to levy huge fines on these places. Which honestly will probably be the final nail in the coffin for gamestop.

It would seem that someone is up to some shenanigans with PassMark this time following not too far behind UserBenchmark's recent screwings around with weighting. This time however PassMark has claimed to be "transparent" in their implementation however this seems to be rather suspect as the highest ranked AMD CPU on the new v10 list is 35th on the list and it's an iGPU variant, the 4300U, which hasn't even been tested on the v10 benchmark, but somehow beats out. There is talk that they have introduced an AVX-512 portion or subset to the benchmark which AMD doesn't even have instructions for and will almost certainly give favor to Intel CPUs.

I would seriously love to see how Passmark claims this to be fair and how their CPU benchmark can put the 4300U a 2.7GHz base and 3.7GHz boost CPU ABOVE other Ryzen 3000 series CPUs which have much higher base and boost clocks from the start. It would seem that this is just another PR stunt to try and help Intel (for some reason or another) that will come out as an "accident" once enough people start digging into it.

I'm curious what Bill Gates' contribution at Microsoft was like in recent years and what he contributed to Windows 8's and Windows 10's directions and designs, including whether he was a driving force or supportive behind any of the things like the move to pervasive data-harvesting, the removal of the start menu, live tiles, and Windows 10's flat look, Microsoft Store, Windows 10 as "the last version" of Windows, the bi-annual major update cycle, US government contracts and projects like JEDI and PRISM, of if he was hands-off on all of that stuff.
