RTX 20xx now include copies of Rainbow Six Siege

GDRRiley

Summary

A new game bundle is out at the tail end of the 20x0 GPU  and some OEM machines that have it. Rainbow Six Siege: Gold Edition, base game with a bit of the DLC (not really DLC in this game). it ends of  August 27th, so just a month

Rainbow Six Siege is a more unusual choice for a video card game bundle. The online-focused first person shooter was first launched back in 2015, and in the last several years has been well-received, leading to Ubisoft giving it ongoing support and expansions. The Gold Edition, in turn, includes the base game and much of this expansion content, including the most recent “Year 5” pass. DLC aside, I cannot recall a game that has been out this long ever being bundled with a high-end video card. This also leads into the name of the bundle, alluding to the fact that NVIDIA's RTX cards can easily hit 144fps in the game.

My thoughts

this game at around its launch was bundled with 970 and 980. I know because my 970 came with it. funny 5 years on after the game has grown it is back again as a deal

I imagine they have staticians planning exactly the right time to release their new cards so that they don't devalue their current line-up.

I entertain the notion that the price-points when announced might just be Jensen doing the napkin math just before going on-stage 😁.

Never played it as I don't like to waste my money and I can't pirate it either but it must be a horrible game.

It’s a pretty good game. It had some rough updates and needs some balance love but otherwise I prefer it to CS GO.

I was ready to make some quip about Nvidia bundling a 5 year old game with their RTX capable GPUs but before I did I decided to go check out AMDs offering these days.

Some game I've literally never heard of (called Godfall) and a World Of Warcraft expansion pack.

When I bought my 5700XT I got the Resident Evil 2 Remaster & The Division 2 with it.

Seems neither company cares to offer anything of any significance.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

Agreed, its a good game.

Although I haven't installed it since a rebuild just yet. I found that they were releasing content too fast for someone that only really played it casually.

Too many new classes to learn (buy). But its a really fun game, the destructible scenery and gadgets makes it really interesting to play.

Oh man, I just bought a RTX 2060 for a SFFPC and got in with the Death Stranding promo.

So happy. I really think these promos for "live service" games are terrible.

I hope NVidia's 3000 series have way better promos than this generation has had...

Godfall is a new game that isn't released yet. It was shown for the first time in the PS5 reveal a couple weeks ago.

Personally I don't like the look of the game, just gives me a Anthem vibe and I'm surprised AMD is having that promotion when the game isn't even released?
