Once again Google decided to fuck Norwegians hard by not making it available. Same as the last Pixel. So annoying...

Looking forward to see battery life on this though.

Actually a bit more complex. If we take the example with the 23000 € car, there is 25 % VAT which means the sale price before tax is 28750 €. Then you add 105 % tax of the first 11380 € of price before tax which is 11949 € and 150 % of the remaining value (17370 €) = 26055 €.

So the total price for the 23000 € car is 28750+11949+17370 = 58069 € which about 2,5 times the "factory price".

should add, this is the very reason why the n3rdfusion folks (and pretty much any oother livestreamer) are keen on having each donation pop up on the screen: from the moment it pops up on stream, they have evidence the guy got everything he paid for, and thus will ALWAYS lose a chargeback case.

ChrEW got a reaction from MrDynamicMan in Nokia will return to mobile with Android phones and tablets
    That's a postulate.

Nokia was big, really big, atleast here in the Nordics (Don't know about the rest of the world) Everyone at my class when I was 12 years old (14 years ago..sigh) had a Nokia, most of them a 3310. Not only was it sturdy but it was the best phone for texting (damn I was fast back then) and things like custom ringtones and snake 2 was the bomb back then

But... Although I want them to the succeed, I do fear they've decided to do it a wrong time (a bit late). Right it's dominated by Apple and Samsung, and I think the market is oversaturated.

Also a new Nokia is not like the old Nokia, since the name itself isn't enough.... We will see

You'll be losing AMD's Mantle and Freesync but will gain access to:

Shadowplay - Amazing if you want to record your gameplay with no hit to your framerate
Gsync - Nvidia's freesync, only on expensive monitors
GameWorks - Makes Nvidia cards outperform AMD cards on GameWorks titles, like The Witcher 3 (HairWorks)
Nvidia SLI - AMD's Crossfire, requires a bridge unlike AMD
CUDA - Boosts performance in workflow environments, similar to OpenGL
Nvidia Shield Streaming - Play PC games on a handheld or tablet through in-home streaming, Nvidia style.

And Geforce Experience, which will give you driver updates and allow you to change the LEDs on your (stock) GTX cards.

Exciting, as a civil engineer I can't wait for AR to be a thing, since there is an actual use for it. Will make my job easier on the construction site; simply loading the 3D Model into the glasses and have it as an overlay to identify if the finished parts are identical to the model.

This looks fairly decent to me, I'm personally highly interested in it's possible practical applications inside laboratory environments, AR is something that could vastly improve work processes in the lab.
if "video speed" hints to the recording speed of the camera it should be fine, adding a layer of AR to it would make it very useful when you are doing research projects, you could have the experiments protocol to the side of your view constantly, while recording all the steps you go through and adding labels/tags to objects to know what is inside the flask/bottle and if you still have to process it in a specialized matter.
Although this is also aimed at home usage(weather forecasts etc) I doubt if it catches on there. Since the current usage of it would be limited with only a single hololens in the household.
But in professional industries I can see some really nice applications for it.

This being a gen 1 product seems to have nice specs, of course you can't play games with it, that would be stupid for a productivity device(that's what it is according to me)
and like @ShadowCaptain said, just stream it, if there isn't a application/program for that then make it yourself, if I'm not mistaken this version is meant for developers after all.

When you use sli/crossfire the cards cant access eachothers memory, they all keep an own copy.
So the usable amount of memory equals the amount of memory of the card with the least amount of memory.
This doesnt change with the hawai architecture. It uses the pci-e lane now fpr the syncing but not for accessing eachothers memory (which would probably be never possible with PCI-e in ots current form as the data would have to travel from the gpu to the cpu en then to the other gpu which would be to slow.
More over: pcie is much slower then the memory bus between the GPU and the memory. Which for a r9 290x is 320GB/sec ( http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2460/radeon-r9-290x.html) versus 32GB/s for 16 pci-e 3 lanes (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2010/11/27/pci-express-3-0-explained/1).
Also stacked memory, which Nvidia has announced means something different: it means multiple layers of dram will be integrated vertically ( http://devblogs.nvidia.com/parallelforall/nvlink-pascal-stacked-memory-feeding-appetite-big-data/).
So please don't call people stupid especially when you're not right yourself.
