Witcher books

So I started reading the Witcher books, and they are great.  However I am kind of confused as what order they are in.  On the wiki it has a list or short stories and novels and it seems like the novels are connected but in the last one does the story end or is it incomplete?

Would like to read them as well (as the Metro series) but in English and the original language. Witch - Polish, Metro 2033/lastlight - Russian.

Oh, I didn't know metro was a book series I never played the games tho.

I don't think anyone here will be able to answer that question. I wasn't even aware that there was a Witcher book series.

 

I love the games, and I would totally listen to this. Hopefully someone makes it into an audiobook.

Ahhhhhh...  The books are amazing!  Totally read them!  There is an audio book version on Audible.com, start with the Last Wish, or you know you could just read it...

Yeah the games are based on the book Metro 2033.

I have a friend who is into witcher books and has read all of the material, he's been offline for a few days because he has pc problems but if I see him on Steam anytime soon I will ask him and I'm sure he will know the answer to that shit.

Last Wish is first in series. It contains several short stories and along with them backstoryline which starts with first story and ends at the end. All other shorts are like memories. The second book, The Sword of Destiny, is basicly in same style. I need to get back to it. I was listening it and then stopped somewhere in the middle.

 

If you are confused about order, best way is to read them in order of published. Or to find some Witcher wiki with timeline.

  2. The Sword of Destiny
  3. Blood of Elves
  4. Time of Contempt
  5. Baptism of Fire
  6. The Swallow's Tower
  7. Lady of the Lake
  8. Season of Storms

*The Last Wish is actually released one year after The Sword of Destiny, but chronological it's before ,since it contains smaller stories which were released indiviually before.
