Yeah no, that wont work. The 4 pin LEDs work by PWM control of the anodes of all three colors in the LED strip. That way you can control each color within the strip individually, but all the LEDs are wired together in parallel. WS2812s on the other hand are more like little computers. The three wires are power, ground, and data. That data line accepts a serial protocol that tells each LED what to do. This protocol allows each LED to be addressable, so you can tell LED 0 to be off, 1 to be pink, and 3 to be orange. You can't do that with the 4 wire LEDs and that control structure. Basically what I'm trying to get at is no, you need some kind of controller, I think an NZXT Hue might support addressable LEDs. Or, if you're like me, you throw an arduino in some corner of your computer and write your own program using the FastLED or Neopixel libraries.

On your bottom photo it seems you have 2x 6+2 pin connectors?
So just connect all the 8pins of the first cable, and then only connect the 6pins on the other, leaving the 2pin just hanging.

But they mean that the other 6pin is optional for overclocking, because the rx590 should only draw 150w, so 1 8pin should be enough. (Atleast that was the case with the rx480)

Just connect the 8 pins to the 8 pin and the 6+2 to the 6 pins. The extra 2 doesn't need to be connected.

that depends if the card's max temp really, some more extensive research is needed, i know for the 1080 ti the ftw3 had better thermals than the SC2, and i could actually max out powerlimit and temps on both cards, in that case, the ftw3 was my choice.

For the 2080 ti i hit power limit WAY before temp limit so cooler difference isn't worth the money and i got the cheaper model.

i mean there needs to be a discount on the zotac card since it's worse, it depends on how much you are saving by buying the zotac card, ultimately it's ur call. i personally would just get that vega 56 lol.

unless you have a gsync monitor then make the call on those 1070 ti.

Given the size, Zotac cards have quite poor thermal performance, however VRMS and MOSFETs can take alot more punishment than the GPU core does before becoming overloaded and resulting in throttling or other issues. I recommend EVGA as on later models (ICX Rev 3.0, correct me if I'm wrong) they focus on keeping those components cool and also include thermal monitoring for them in their software, which can be handy in certain overclocking situations. The only reason that Zotac cards overclock somewhat well is due to thermal mass, but as I said the mass to performance ratio is still rather low and could be made a lot better.

ya my friend has that exact 1080 ti, he got it for 700usd, he's not complaining but it's about 10C hotter than everything else, that's just the core, who knows how hot the hotspots on the cards are. if there are savings to be had sure, but the extra oc doesn't mean anything when there's thermal throttling.

Honestly you really won't find anything that isn't Zotac below 530.. I found an MSI for $539, discounted from $688. Link: https://www.amazon.ca/GEFORCE-256-bit-Support-DirectX-Graphics/dp/B077PTV4WV/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1542880876&sr=8-17&keywords=gtx+1070+ti

Zotac cards generally overclock quite well, however there are better retailers such as EVGA and Gigabyte which offer better customer service and warranties. I have owned a Zotac card in the past and I had to return it as the coil whine was louder than my case fans. Don't let one bad experience reflect on the company as a whole though, if you can find a card within a similar price range from a more reputable company then buy it, however if it's the cheapest available option or the least expensive, there is not much to lose given you retain any and all documentation after your purchase for warranty purposes.

Black Friday will have good parts sales.  On all hardware, in my experience this (and Cyber Monday week) are the optimal times of year to purchase parts.  The only close second is the week before and week after Christmas (due to year end financial goals companies like Newegg need to meet)

Typically black Friday has more mice, keyboards, hdd's,ssd's and the odd power supply, but obviously keep your eye out as we don't know what exactly will be on sale!
If you see one in stock now, buying one right now wont be the worst idea ever... Even if there is a sale it wont be significant & then it might be out of stock afterwards
So buying one now could be better, there is a risk with waiting for black friday.

honestly, if you find a good deal, just get it. Black Friday won't do much for PC parts apart from things like HDD's, SSD's, and cases. Most everything else only drops 10 or 15bucks

That second one is the 4 pin RGB connector for the RGB fans. You can connect that to your motherboard if you have an RGB header or get a coolermaster RGB controller.

DIYPC makes very cheap PC cases, they tend to lack the quality and ruggedness you find in similarly spec'd cases. This cases however  positioned the fans by default on the wrong side of the front intake so the fans are significantly less efficient than if they were on the inside of the case. Generally speaking their better value cases are below $60. At this price range there are too many good cases like the Define C TG/Meshify C mentioned above that are just better overall.
