Murasaki reacted to DrMacintosh in Windows 11 - Update - iPhone, Bing Chat, Record screen and more
Biggest feature improvement hands down. The more apps that can have tabs, the better. I'm not joking its a great way to work.

Just give it the ability to program itself, simples! Also access to the US nuclear arsenal for the kicks...

It's going to start ironically sending people LMGTFY links.

Murasaki reacted to -rascal- in Help please with 4090 wiring
The RM1000x should have at least 4x separate PCI-E power cables.
Use 4x separate cables; it is NOT recommended to use 2x just so it "looks better."
Rather not kill a RTX 4090 or PSU.

Murasaki reacted to 191x7 in Using an ATH-M30X, what to consider for the future?
How about IEM-s like the Truthear Zero or QKZ x HBB?
Might I recommend a $5 vast audio improvement over onboard?

paired with this if your motherboard doesn't have type-c https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000268671055.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.11.187d1802Slxn9Z
Sounds better than my Asus Xonar U5. I own a few, my friends also got a few, everybody loves those. Cheap but power all our headphones, IEM-s and headsets.
Something like a great yet cheap upgrade over the M30x would be the Blon B50 headphones.
And in a higher price range, the AKG K361.

Murasaki reacted to manikyath in Does this Laptop Color Seem Misleading?
nope, they just have a bunch of gloss filter on the chassis, that didnt come out on the keyboard for whatever reason.
also, if the color of a laptop is a very important aspect, you should just generally look up more imagery of a laptop, because the marketing shots are rarely an accurate representation of realistic lighting conditions.

Murasaki got a reaction from da na in How secure is this 2FA method and what are they called?
1. If the codes aren't renewed this is immediately not safe anymore once it gets leaked as it can be distributed anywhere. Nothing different than a password so this method would be extra effort with little to no benefit. Better to use something like 3D Secure I think most bank cards support this.
2. This reminds me of old PC games having similar protection to prevent piracy. Thats simply a lookup table.

Seems rather less secure than using random 2FA authenticators.

Murasaki reacted to xAcid9 in Accidentally bought pirated Windows 11, help!
No such thing as pirated window license key imo, stolen key? Maybe yes. Usually it just an unused OEM key.
Just use your system as normal, if one day Microsoft decided to block your key, just get another one.

Murasaki got a reaction from PizzaPuntThomas in Duplicated and extended desktop at the same time?
This is perfectly possible in Windows. You can mirror 2 displays and have the 3rd one in extend mode.

Murasaki reacted to Takumidesh in Multi-monitor setup question
i have had multiple monitors using all different types of connections (including usb converters) for years and never once have I encountered a 'wake problem' caused by a monitor.
that's just my experience though.
I would say, use whatever connections you have available and if you have problems you can change it.

Murasaki got a reaction from da na in How do you properly install Nvidia drivers?
I install my drivers as soon as I can because the rest of the system needs to be brought back to normal usability. Never had any issue! This is an unnecessary thing to worry about imo.
