Should be able to* Most of the time you can get by with using windows storage management, I'd try it first. If it fails, I swear by minitools part wizard.

Pretty much, plus you dont need the igpu of an i3/i5/i7 and depending on what xeon you go with you can use 2-4 later on. 

the m.2 speeds over sata speeds would be unnoticeable after it goes through the network and the other pcs, an hdd would suit you just fine but if you insist on an ssd just use sata. 
ECC is error correcting, and is preferred but in your case theres no point since its a game server with low traffic and not some 100 person server or file server. 

WD blue is well regarded as the base line hdd, not the luxery like the black but not sketchy. 

Thats actually not bad, but I was just giving a comparison lol the blue is the stable of the WD world

depends on how you use them, the higher u overclock, the less it lives, and as well as how much you use it, if you keep it on, etc. It will probably last 5 years if u dont keep it on overnight

The easiest thing to do is either make a key chain with the cpu or take the drive out and use an ide to sata or usb adapter to install an OS. I had a 2001 pentium 4 with 1gb ram and I tried debian, damn small, and a few others, its not worth it, you get more from a pi. 

No offence but that sounds dumb, this PC is for editing and such so the CPU is more important than the GPU. The 390 is the sweet spot card for 1440p gaming.

I would wait for the new cards regardless, but your definitely good for light or moderate gaming as is.

If you want to spend money get a newwer mobo and cpu
Aside from that the gpu isnt used alot in most renderings, so I would suggest a better cpu, maybe just a better arch and newer but you might get a xeon or i7 with more threads or higher clock. You could get a better gpu and it may speed up some things but dont sli with that one. 
and perhaps more or better ram. By better I mean lower latency, higher quality, and higher clock, trivial but they can add up if done right. 
If you go for an ssd, you can store programs and the os with a 120-240 but you can get a 500 or tb and store the current projects on it too. 

You mean to go from 7/8 to 10? oh, just go take a nap, grab a snack and find mordor, then it should be done.

Now now, we mostn't wonder into illegal affairs. I mean things like the appnee reloader v2.2 final that mimic win10 and office keys are not at all okay to use and you shouldnt even think about it much less googling it to find the single download folder
