Sorry if this is not worthy of its own thread, but I just think it's hilarious.

A Ryzen 2200G won't perform much better than your current CPU, and I'd encourage you to go with something at least Ryzen 2nd gen. You could wait until the launch of Ryzen 3000 and look at the used market for a Ryzen 5 2600/X for relatively cheap.

There won't be any real benefit from having both at the same time.

Yeah no.. that's not how GPU design works, if you think (using that same logic you laid out for how AMD should design GPUs) on the NVIDIA side all they did between the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 was a better cooler and more RAM you are vastly mistaken.

It's one of my favorite designs we've ever done, tbh, but it's not 2019-friendly.

And it's not really funny without the pun.

This doesn't even make any sense. I'm Korean, and I don't understand either Korean or Japanese. But I also really like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

TheSLSAMG reacted to PlayStation 2 in Devil's advocate: please defend the $999 monitor stand
Maybe it's the cautious side of me, but you really should be careful making the argument of comparing a ridiculously overpriced monitor stand to a serious crime. One's a material waste of money and the other is heinous and vile.
I can't really defend this monitor stand (and the VESA mount I can't defend even more) but it's very hard to make that comparison.

They're not comparing their monitor to Apple's monitor. They're comparing their monitor against the Apple monitor's stand. If the choice is between an okay monitor or a monitor stand, the choice is obvious. ?

While Apple's monitor is supposed to be comparable to a much more expensive reference monitor, it's probably best to wait for independent reviews to verify how good it actually is.

It’s a nice marketing opportunity, but the Apple Pro Display XDR is an entirely different class of monitor.

Letting people into your house to deliver food to your fridge is not some advanced technology. It's just a dumb idea and a security risk.

Not at launch they wont be. You will need to perform a BIOS update on it to be compatible. However, the Crosshair VII does have a BIOS flashback that allows you to flash the BIOS without a CPU installed.

It's utterly insecure and it's not even new technology. Milk (and foodstuffs) deliveries go back to the 1800s in the modern era, and functionally back thousands of years. Safety is safety & trust is trust. No one should ever has any reason to trust a random stranger that far.

I don’t think legislating fibre to EVERY home is a good idea for a country like the US (or Canada).

But I do think that access to “lower” high speed internet (say 5-10Mbps) should be a guaranteed right to all residents. Internet is so important to getting information now - and even things like applying for jobs, etc.

People who live 3 hours from the closest town or library should still be able to access the “modern” internet. How that’s accomplished can and should vary based on what’s practical to implement.

Whether that means fixed wireless, Cellular, Satellite, etc.

If it's overclocked to 4.4-4.6ghz yeah it's sorta like a Ryzen 1600. I sometimes get better performance in games than my buddy with a Ryzen 1700.

Stock though, in games probably something more like a FX 6300 or a really weak i7 970 or i7 930 with another 2c/4t

THQ Nordic announced today that the classic SpongeBob game Battle for Bikini Bottom will be getting a remaster for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and (most notably) the PC!
Originally released in 2003, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was a platformer based on the show that released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. Quoting straight from the video's description:

The description also hints at a new multiplayer mode. Which is, to say, this game might have online (or maybe even local) co-op play, which might be really cool if it's done right.

Now, admittedly, a lot of you won't care. It's a licensed platformer that came out in the 6th generation that, really, American kids who grew up with those consoles will end up remembering. But it's got quite a cult following, enough to the point where it's getting remade.
By the way, this game isn't being developed by Heavy Iron; it's being developed by Purple Lamp Studios.
THQ Nordic also has some more reveals of other games coming very soon, if you're interested in that.

Personally, I'm truly hyped for this and I hope it turns out to be true to the original game. It'll be very interesting, especially, to see how the PC version will turn out. What do you guys think?

That's pretty bad from what I heard. I think Vox(?) wants to have rules enforced on someone for hate speech. He's allowed to say what he wants, but he doesn't have to bring up identity to make his points. I think the whole situation is wrong. No false equivalence, you're just all wrong.
