ramm got a reaction from RevGAM in 9 fans, hub, but no speed control?
I just tested them on a spare power supply and the quality seems really good, they look and feel the same as any corsair fan or cooler master fan i've ever had. Maybe actually even better. They are quiet, alot of airflow especially when putting 3 next to each other, the rgb lights are great. They feel like any other quality fan. But the only thing im worried about is if it's gonna be enough for the cpu.

Im thinking of maybe using them for the case itself, since airflow seems pretty decent. And then for CPU cooler/radiator I just use the fans that come with it. Since its mostly important that the CPU fans can speed up if required, but if the entire case has a decent normal airflow this should be enough right?

Yes they come with a remote control I thought it was only for RGB but also for fan speed. But still that is useless to me, I just want my PC to do the speed because I use it all throughout the day for light and heavy workloads.

Ithink the best way for me is figure out which cables are RGB and which are fan speed, then just solder fan controllers on the 3 wires

ramm got a reaction from JabroniBaloney in First Controller for PC gaming on the sofa?
I never thought I would ask this but I think I might need a controller.

I've always been a PC gamer with an absolute hate of consoles and controllers, mostly because they are inferior to PC hardware and because I literally suck with controllers.. However I now have a very big 4K tv in my livingroom which is cloned to the 4K display of my PC on the other side of the room at my desk. This makes it super convenient to just easily switch locations from my desk or the sofa since the picture is the same on both screens. At first I was looking for an extra set of (wireless) keyboard and mouse, but then I thought maybe I should look into a controller for the sofa so I, and my casual friends, can experience beautiful 4K PC gaming from the livingroom.

What controller would you guys recommand to a controller noob like me? Are the XboX or the Playstation rip-offs a better choice? Or should I look for the original ones? Or is there a better brand/form of controller that i'm not aware of?

    Thanks alot

Yeah you can see the pixels if you move very close to the screen on 27" on a 1080p screen, but usually if you sit a little further back you don't notice it. I use it as a second monitor now and it's only since i've had a new 4K screen that it's starting to show when you move something from the 4K screen to the 1080p screen.

But 32" is definately good enough for 1440p too aswel as 4K. But I think i pretty much will have to go with a 2070 because the other thing is just too damn expensive here in my country. I said 800 but it's getting closer to 900 now. I just wish I bought a 1080ti last summer, it was on sale for 600 but that was before everybody knew that RTX would fail. Now a days a new 1080ti costs the same as a new 2080ti here.

Wow, thats a big difference. Almost 300 dollars? Here in my country is the cheapest 1080ti €769 and the cheapest 2080 €879 A price difference of €100, but they both go up and down daily.

Depends what kind of stuff you want. You want static lighting? Get a colored led strip for 2 bucks from any chinese webshop. Do you want a fading rgb led strip? Get the same for 3 bucks. Do you want rgb addressable stuff? You can get those for like 5 bucks.

If you want it to be controlled by your PC then you should look into NZXT Hue or Corsair Lighting Node or the other stuff I think Thermaltake does it now too, but those are 10x more costy. However it's what all the cool kids use, so if you wanna pimp with your PC you should look into that stuff. If you just want permanent rainbow that isnt controlled by your computer, get a cheap addressable rgb strip from a chinese webshop instead.

Buying expensive things like gpu's online from stuff like ebay or amazon is something I would never do. Also if the card becomes damaged or even already is damaged good luck trying to get a refund. I would always go to a local pc store or like a bestbuy or whatever your country has. Something with an address or phone number and some validation. Or go to a trusted respected site that has insurance for these kind of things.

Can you even take a new gpu through airport customs?

ramm got a reaction from RollTime in Cablemod cables worth it?
If you have a simple clean looking case with a clear window then some extensions are fine, you won't even see half the cables anyway. They're way cheaper and compatible with different brands of PSU.

If you go full custom everything including laser engraved water cooling fittings I would go for a full cable set but for me those are a bit too expensive compared to the rest of my build and I dont think that's worth the price.

It depends on your budget and rest of the build how far you wanna take it.

its only 8 bucks extra compared to the lighting node pro, and i like the fan design more anyway
