Hey there,

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what the differences are between these two laptops:

Laptop 1: ACER Nitro 5 (AN515-44-R8QT) (6 cores, 16gb ram, 512gb storage)

Laptop 2: ACER Nitro 5 (AN515-54-55EP) (4 cores, 16gb rem, 1024gb storage)

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-9300H-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-4600H/m744904vsm1110331

One has 6 cores and other 4 cores, and one has 1024gb storage and the other 512gb storage is what ive learned.

Anything else im missing? I need little things too if they are there. Thanks alot!

The Ryzen has a much better iGPU than the intel.

But is both like ssd speed or ram speed the same? Or any other components?

not sure what iGPU is but I think the ryzen processor is already much better according to those userbenchmarks website

don't know, don't know, don't know.

Most OEM manufs don't give that level of detail on their products.  Because supplies change, so a "512GB SSD" is easy to source.  A "512 GB XXX-YYY-###" specific drive?  May not be nearly as easy to source.

ACER also doesn't list RAM Speed, so that may also be up to flux on available parts.

Oh, both laptops use an NVidia 1650 GPU.  So that's going to be roughly the same.

iGPU is the Graphics built into the CPU, but they both have a GTX 1650 Graphics chip already so the iGPU doesn't really matter that much. So the difference between the two really comes down to a slightly worse CPU with more storage or a better CPU with less storage. If you are asking which one to buy I would personally recommend the 6 core one because it will likely be a better experience and you can always upgrade to more storage later if you want (Note: you will likely run out of space relatively quickly with 512gb if you are gaming, but again, you can just upgrade later on for around 100$) Hope this helps 🙂

Thanks exactly what I thought!

I will go with the ryzen then since I already got a spare 256gb small ssd which i could put into it if i'd ever needed to and that would make 768gb
