Who said it was extra? At the time I bought it, it was $50 cheaper than the 7700....

you could use the other type of fans like static optimized or airflow optimized and that could make a change
or you could try to have better cable management

Fractal design define s, beauty of a case. I used to have msi 970s in sli and they didn't run that hot, I think the top one ran at around 75 and the bottom one 70.

it could be that your socket had two pins sticking up higher than the others and it scratched the super thing gold contacts. not that it makes a difference.

When it comes to used things buyer is always the one who is responsible anyway. He bought it, it works as described. GTFO.

danny78690 reacted to InVis in Recording Gameplay with FRAPS with save directory over network, slows down games to a crawl
Yes, recorded in 60, but uploaded to youtube in 30 fps.
For that i saved locally, but for recording with OBS, I save on a quite beefy server on my network.
No problem, here to help ?

danny78690 reacted to Made In Canada in Recording Gameplay with FRAPS with save directory over network, slows down games to a crawl
Sorry about the networking again, but if have not known or have been using Shadowplay, from all the great things i hear about it, i recommend it.

danny78690 reacted to Made In Canada in Recording Gameplay with FRAPS with save directory over network, slows down games to a crawl
TLDR; Nvidia has Shadowplay where you can record with near to no performance drop.
I dont know much about recording but according to your title you might want to try it.
Just finished reading the original/ first post.
I dont know much about networking myself, this is something i plan to learn later. However, if you are recording, i do know you should look into Nvidia's Shadowplay and considering you have a GTX 970, you should have it.
As for the networking, i would say leave that to someone else for now, sorry.

danny78690 reacted to swordsman247 in Sound card vs onboard audio
It would still output in stereo, so unless you hear a noticeable sound quality improvement it probably won't make much of a difference.

danny78690 reacted to Me1bourne in Sound card vs onboard audio
Buying DAC will be much reasonable if you are using headphones only and want to improve your listening experience.
Would you hear difference with SupremeFX? Yes. But not a big difference.

danny78690 reacted to Morgan MLGman in 2 x R9 285 vs ASUS GTX 680 Direct CUII OC
Even one R9 285 is faster than a GTX 960 which should be around a GTX 680 in performance so you're getting over double the performance

danny78690 got a reaction from iHardware Shelden in DDR3 vs DDR3L in a laptop
DDR3L mostly exists in laptops and uses less power to operate (hence low voltage) and DDR3 is available in desktops, but also laptops
kudos for the explanation
-
danny78690 reacted to BlazingGunnerFTW in DDR3 vs DDR3L in a laptop
yes and no.
DDR3L is low powered, as SBC's and phones use it as well. And ddr3 is double data rate type three synchronous dynamic random-access memory.

This one is a good unit.

Don't ever go for that EVGA B1 or Corsair CX.

danny78690 reacted to Kaspertechgeek in PSU for my system, which one should I buy?!?
I'm using the Corsair RM750 gold label and I am very happy with it!
-
danny78690 reacted to kameshss in PSU for my system, which one should I buy?!?
They're cheaper units. Terrible ones. B2s are good tho.
Just because it has 80+ certification, doesn't mean it's good. It's the soldiering and capacitors and ton other stuffs that matters.

It will still handle it no problem. Also AMD has a better bang for the buck in the US market.
