    1) No you do not need one if your CPU and motherboard support video out. I would add a real cheap one for like 20-30 bucks if you need one.

    2) Some motherboards do have HDMI out. I would recommend using hdmi over vga and dvi because its more common for televisions.

    3) For your needs windows should be good. If you are looking into more of a home sever with robust file sharing and server usage I would say take a look at linux distros.

This really could go into the off topic but also it can go into general discussion. I think one of the best forums could use more subforms. I use a lot of forums but I am starting to prefer LTT. Since this is linusTECHtips shouldn't it cover all tech? Like 3d printers/cnc, RC vehicles, electrical musical instruments (counts as tech I googles it :3), racing cockpits, weird tech ( like MaKey MaKey ), inventions
and ect. Possibly a suggestion box >.>

Looks good. The cooling performance will largely depend on how much you overclock. Under stock settings don't sweat it.

I like single larger displays, No bezels and a bit easier to run games just because it's one monitor instead of 3.

puts ("i'd like to ask you a few questions") That should do it. You need to put them in quotes. Also what IDE are you using? If not consider using one. It will help you avoid easy syntax errors like this.

i'll clarify how these things can be found this cheap:

they're servers from datacenters that have upgraded or have gone bankrupt, and they try to get something back on their investment, so they ask a price that'll allow them to get rid of large quantities of these quickly.

Assassin got a reaction from TrickedProGaming in SMAA vs FXAA vs TXAA vs SMAA
Made this thread way back. Hope it helps. its explains all the types.
    http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/52556-fxaa-vs-txaa-vs-ssaa-vs-msaa-vs-mlaa-vs-csaa-vs-qcsaa-wtfaa/

    Also:
hey're all different types of Anti-Aliasing.
    FXAA - Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing
    TXAA - Temporal Anti-Aliasing
    SSAA - Super-Sampling Anti-Aliasing
    MSAA - Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing
    CSAA - Coverage Sample Anti-Aliasing
QCSAA - Don't know what it stands for

MSAA is basic, isn't specially optimised or anything, but it gets the job done.
CSAA is basically MSAA but better, without doing a number on your GPU, it Nvidia only and preferred over MSAA.
QCSAA is better than these two, but does hit your GPU a little harder.
TXAA is along the same lines as PhysX, in that it is Nvidia exclusive and only works on games that support it, again a lot better than MSAA and CSAA but will hit your GPU hard.
MLAA is better than MSAA, as it also effects colour reproduction and blends corners and edges better.

The rest, I'm not so sure.

EDIT: FXAA is the worst of them all. It is outdated.

    @QueenDemetria @Syntaxvgm

its actually because transistors are sensitive to certain wavelengths of light
so this seems like a hardware issue with some of the parts used to make the pi, most likely a microchip or transistor
