Inrix got a reaction from comandos in Floatplane for Plex & Auto Download Script
So I felt like being creative and also wanted the daily Floatplane videos to be automagically downloaded so I could immediately start watching them while I had breakfast after turning on my computer. So I wrote a neat little node.js script that auto downloads the daily videos But then I had the cool idea of importing the videos to plex, so after editing the script a bit to name things correctly I now basically have Foatplane on Plex which is kinda cool... Ill link some screenshots below.
Id be happy to link both the scripts, though the auto download does require you to get your own login and session cookies to be able to access floatplane... However Id want some confirmation from @Slick or perhaps a Moderator/Dev before posting them as I dunno what their stance on me sharing this would be. It still requires a login and everything, I just wanna make sure their all happy with it.
But anyway tell me what you think! Its super nice having the videos sorted like this and being able to just insta launch them in MPC or VLC is great. Oh and the "Episodes" are out of order right now because I was testing some stuff.

No, too much latency. You need to do something like this:

Inrix reacted to Princess Luna in Kaby Lake or wait for Coffee lake?
Maybe not coffee lake but the i7 7740k is coming this year that might be worth giving a look, a polished 7700k which is a polished 6700k... the 8700k will be a polished 7740k and so on until Intel manage to go 10nm.

Inrix reacted to Bananasplit_00 in 23 or 24?
24" because its nicer to have a slightly bigger monitor, 23" is just a bit small while 24" is pretty good and 25" is perfect. i use one 27" and two 22" and the 22"s are not something id use as my only display tbh

Inrix got a reaction from gawax in 1440p or 4K UHD monitor ?
I usually sit about 10cm away, can never see the pixels unless you go lower than that. And Imo the difference between 4k and this isnt worth it for the scaling issues. Not to mention if you intended to do any gaming 4k right now just isnt worth it unless you plan to spend stupid money on a sli setup

Inrix got a reaction from Phate.exe in Buying A Server, What To Get?
Yes its possible.
There isnt really a better brand generally.
If your getting a older or 2nd hand rack server its probably not all that energy efficient.
As for the os, you will need to make a install drive for whatever os you need, google is your friend.
For remote, if you decide linux use ssh, for windows use remote desktop.
For beginner stuff you might want to go **EDIT** Windows though as it would be the easiest.
I don't recommend a 1U or that server, its pretty shitty for just a nas and as @MarieKirya just said its going to sound horrendously loud. Make a cheap desktop with a i5 or i3 and buy some hdds, it will work MUCH better for you and give you a bit more upgradability and flexibility than any rack server would.

Inrix reacted to Beeeyeee in What is the difference between TV's with 240hz and above and 144hz monitors gamers like to use?
TV's usually take a 60htz signal and simulate extra frames. Monitors take a native 144htz input. TV's take a while longer to do it so their definitely not good for gaming but great for watching sports and stuff

Inrix reacted to Gandek in Considering new Phone for Reading & Music
Judging from the title music will be a big part for you so you should consider phones that have a good audio experience speakers/headphones. I have a S7 and the audio isn't that great from what i hear compared to other flagships but i don't really mind since I'm not so into it.
Phones that i know have REALLY good audio according to reviews
OnePlus 3T
ZTE Axon 7
LG V20
