oh that sounds awesome. wish i knew python, id have that in AC before the end of the day. all i know is vb.net, java and C#

Pythons not too hard to learn. Breezed through it last year; Eclipse isn't the easiest thing to work in if you switch between workspaces, but once you familiarize yourself with the functions, OOPs, and modular programming it's really simple.

Naturally it's just an exercise in live-data and some easy maths, if anything. The fundamentals are the same as Java, pretty much.

I despise working in VBA and VB6. Not the most enjoyable 2 semesters I can recall, but helpful in terms of skill building.

tempted to give it a shot at learning. might just go for C++ instead. kunos said they are going to have C++ app functionality at some point in the future and im sure ill likely need C++ more then python

C++ is definitely a better platform if you plan on going forward with your knowledge base; Python, while useful, is pretty much a dying language whose main uses are to teach budding programmers the basics of the science and to get them interested, what with its relatively simple nature.

As a language, it's still immensely powerful but it lacks the integration of Java/C and their derivatives. Going from Java/JS in HS to Python in uni felt like a step back imo; useful, but I would much rather spend my time on C. (dabbled in it a bit with robotics a while ago)

project cars has ffb optimised for belts and gyros so even though they have logitech sponsoring its pretty bad with the gears. I setup my dfgt myself and then by steam recommending. It has the same issues that assetto corsa had in release, the ffb snaps easily and im not sure why, its like a wheel is coming off the ground at every corner even with the high downforce cars. i think ive got too used to the AC and Rf2 ffb.

Demmit, not going to upgrade my wheel just for this game.

I think i too got spoiled by rF2 and AC FFB.

Welp that sucks lol. I guess it doesnt help with Kunos releasing so many micropatches in quick succession either. :/ Best of luck! The model itself, barring physics, looks solid so far.

im trying to get it to what i imagine it will be like which is pretty much the porshce at this point, it has strong aero and a long wheel base so its for corners clearly, bop will likely tear it apart in the straight lines but this is just my guess.

Hey guys, any way to improve FFB in pCars with G27? I tried a couple of guides online but they're either too weak with some details or mediocre strong with no details.

I run a G27 and my default setup is to reduce the tyre force to 80and set the deadzone to 23.In the car settings I reduce the fx, fy, and fz to 24.01 and the mz to 10. Give that a go.

As much of a joke as it may seem, this is what it looks like to work your way through the 1v1 ladder system for the ESL Project CARS cups.

Tony's Racing is also testing out the alternate chief engineer that makes use of shared memory data, as you can hear in the background.

Missed my league race today... Super busy :(

I'm not too bummed out though because I'm not the best at hockenheim lol

Got to a race a little bit tonight though. Random multiplayer server:

First race I was in a P1 and I was doing amazing, leading by 12 seconds. When suddenly the gas light starts flashing... Didn't bring enough fuel xD.

So I got DQ'd because I ran out of gas right before I crossed the line lol... In pcars if you run out before the line (car still coasts over it) you still get DQ'd. So there went second place (third was way behind). So I got dead last which was 5th

Next race was going well for about 2 minutes. Then I got rammed from behind 5 times. Every time I would get to a corner with a car behind me *BAM* and I go flying off the track. Kept my patience and finished... 7th out of 9th

Today wasn't a great day lol. But tomorrow I'm going spectate at the autocross with a friend, so there is that.

You have WAAAAAY more patience than I. The 2nd time getting hit while braking and I'm out of there. ;)

I believe @chaozbandit can help with this. There's a ffb mod you can apply which several of us have found improved the ffb in PCars. :)

Oops, forgot about this; have you tried Jake Spades tweaker files? Some of the profiles (I've found) reduce clipping and improve ffb response, though you can still adjust to your own liking.

Install is relatively pain free (drag/drop folder, auto start with game)

From last night. Great race with random people (a sadly very rare event!)

I'm not very good at silverstone, but still was great fun! At least I was able to keep up with the guy in front lol

I've raced that person in the green car a couple times before in races with the FQ400. He/she seems to be a good at keeping it clean which is indeed, rare to come across in PCars multiplayer. I meant to add them to steam but didn't catch their username before they left.

I've raced that person in the green car a couple times before in races with the FQ400. He/she seems to be a good at keeping it clean which is indeed, rare to come across in PCars multiplayer. I meant to add them to steam but didn't catch their username before they left.

funny thing is the same thing happened to me! couldn't get their username because they left immediately after and I couldn't remember it xD

but yeah he/she is a great driver.
