id say go for a 980 or 970 and a I5 4690K instead

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

980 Ti with a 25 dollar case ...

No, you are better off with a 970, R9 290X or even 980 and spend a bit more on the rest

If you are gonna get bad edition of 980Ti its better to get Fury X...

 

Also why not a K CPU & X Mobo, when you seem to go all in with the GPU? :o

I still think that GPU is so overkill he will have to upgrade cpu and mobo before the GPU! :P

Nope. 4460 doesn't bottleneck a 295x2, so it's not gonna bottleneck a 980Ti.

I really don't understand the mindless hate here. The next gen i5 is gonna be.... exactly the same with a slightly better IPC "woooyayyyy". I have a 3770K and as soon as the HydroCopper is released I'll be grabbing 2 980Tis and feel very comfortable about the fact my "ancient" CPU won't hold me back.

 

As long as the $25 case can provide sufficient airflow to keep things cool and the OP doesn't care about overclocking then "K" cpus, Z97 mobos and $100 cases are a complete waste of money.

Literally cheaping out on every component to have a 980Ti.

This forum literally is filled with kids.

If literally spending the least amount of money for literally the most performance makes one a kid, then I will happily stay a kid for literally the rest of my life.

^This. Why shouldn't OP have a 980Ti? if he can get the most powerful single-GPU card on the market in a system for the least amount of money, all the more power to him, I say.
