So last year I decided to decorate our tree with some of my own ornaments(much to my mom's annoyance) and once again while my mom is at work and can't stop me I did it again. Last year I didn't have too much stuff to put on the tree http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/79888-decorating-the-christmas-tree-and-annoying-my-mom/ but this year I have plenty. Though since I sold my SP120's I no longer have them to put on the tree so I compensated with some Ethernet, SATA,and IDE cables. Only a few though as my mom has a bad habit of over decorating our tree and there wasn't much room left for me to put my ornaments on. I pressed on however and I have pictures to show you guys!

This year I had a lot more CPU's to put on the tree as well as RAM. I think not having the SP120's really makes a dent in the appearance but I feel like I've compensated enough for it with everything else.

I have a feeling when I have my own home, the tree will have all the parts needed to build a computer.

A Sempron 145, two P4's, a C2D E4500, an old Celeron and a P3.

I saw an Intel stock heat-sink ... now I must kill it with fire.

I'm glad to see that your Dad will go along with this, my mom wasn't too happy about it last year but she dealt with it because I told her that I live in the house and I have every right to put some ornaments of my own on the tree and that if she took any off I would just put more on when she's sleeping or at work. She came home yesterday and said "So you finally got to the three huh?" and that was about it, I guess she's accepted that this is gonna happen. Honestly I don't see any problem with it, I was raised under the notion that decorating an xmas tree is a family thing where everyone from the family puts ornaments that are close to their heard. Though the hardware that's light enough to hand on a tree isn't often pretty it's still close to my heart, it damn sure beats some shitty macaroni glitter covered thing.

My girlfriend and I put up our tree on Sunday.  I'm pretty sure she would actually murder me if I tried to do this.

no, fugly noctua brown. I would try to put my CM V8 on the tip but I don't think it would work due to the weight.

Earlier I thought about the feasibility of putting half of Twofold on the tree hooked up to a monitor that would play some really creepy Christmas thing but then I remembered how much of a pain in the ass it is to remove the boards from Twofold and I said fuck that.

Get another tree and run 2-way PLI (Pine Link Interface)

Replace star with a Tesla Coil  :P
