Snapcash

KingDaddyDaniel

So Snapchat introduced their take on digital currency.

http://techcrunch.com/2014/11/17/snapcash/

It uses Square Cash, so not really any innovation here.

Do those of you who have a debit card and already use Snapchat, plan on using this feature? Will this pull anyone towards Snapchat?

I thought this was an illegal way to pull cash off the internet.

WHY DO WE NEED THIS? I'd rather see cash transfers via NFC/Bluetooth between users. (securely of course)

Edit: snapchat is too glitchy, it'd probably end up loosing money.

Bit behind the 8 ball aren't they? Australian banks already have apps for sending money to friends.

Snapchat isn't glitchy at all.

I'm with you, everyone I know complains about snapchat glitching out every now and then.

I don't think I will be using this. I wonder how long before they have a massive data breach. Seems more dangerous than having pictures stolen. Not too sure though. Maybe it is more secure than I give it credit. I just don't like the idea of merging technology with money. I'd rather keep it separate. Cash (for day to day), bank account for getting that credit rating and bit coin for buying online. Unfortunately that still isn't very viable.
