Nvidia GTX 880, 880 Ti to be Cheaper than 780 Ti

So i was buzzing through some reviews on sshd's and came across this:

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-maxwell-gm204-880-880ti,27070.html

I don't know exactly if this is true because I have not seen it happen yet, a new and better product = less cha ching. With the Titan Z just getting into the market is this Nvidia making a new line up? it is about time for a new line up, Nvidia has been focused on the titans as far as I am concerned and im not spending over $1000 on a GPU in the foresee able future anyways.

Moving on, there is also a report going around that there will be a graphics cardicon1.png based on the GM204 GPU that will carry 8 GB of GDDR5 memory running over a 256-bit memory interface.

8 GB of RAM and cheaper than the 780  and 780 ti? I know this is rumors but I curious to see what Nvidia has up there sleeve. Not to long ago they where working on 3D stacked memory NVLink architecture with the Pascal GPU.

http://devblogs.nvidia.com/parallelforall/nvlink-pascal-stacked-memory-feeding-appetite-big-data/

That backups the the 8GB of GDDR5 ram if it is ready, but that means CPU vendors (Intel, AMD) will have to support NVLink. I have not heard any other talk on this but I'm holding out to see what happens but I cant see this happening until the Beginning of next year.

If it does happen il be upset because I just recently purchased my EVGA GTX 780 Classified Edition. Anyways let me know what you guys think. Is it just a rumour or are we going to see a new GPU line and is there any other talk about it?

they'd be stupid as hell if they do a 256 bit bus with 8gb of ram, I don't see them going backwards in memory bus, when AMD is moving forward in memory bus.

I was thinking the same thing because AMD is already at 1024-bit but the farthest Nvidia has gone is 768-Bit so far, but if there trying to make this better buy performance/price ratio (IF THIS IS TRUE) then it would make sense.

I already sold one 780 + waterblock to @CCap , so I can downgrade my whole system since I don't need anything I actually have, nor will I ever use it.  Planning on a 4790k + m power with a yellow watercooled build soon.  Should be done within a month or two.

I'm selling the 780 I have now after I get a few extra $ and probably getting a used 290x + the CPU+motherboard, it's cheaper and faster for my 1440p, and whichever company releases a better option in 2015 I'll upgrade to that maybe.

Good news is after I downgrade I'll have like $800 leftover to spend on other things, like finishing my setup + buying a racing wheel
