Posted November 19, 2018 So, we all know that Apple isn't the most loved company on the site. However, they do some things extremely well, including personal music players and devices that anyone can catch on to using. I have a simple question: Have you ever owned an Apple device? With the amount they've sold, I'm going to assume most of us older users have at some point in time. The youngin's, maybe not so much. I personally have owned: iPod Video 60GB Gen 5 iPod Nano 8GB Gen 6 I'd never own a laptop, phone or anything of that nature though. Posted November 19, 2018 Yep. I own an iPhone 3GS, iPhone SE, iPod Touch 4th gen, 2007 MacBook Pro and 2012 iMac. (I bought the 3GS and both macs used). They work well but I always find myself being forced to upgrade by Apple. That's why I've always preferred Windows computers and Android phones I enjoy the iPod and 3GS though, as they don't beg you to upgrade all the time.. Posted November 19, 2018 I own an iPad, iPhone, a watch and a pair of AirPods. It all really clicks together nice - although, it's not my first EcoSystem migration. I also rock a 100% working hackintosh, so I've closed the loop. However, I think if Apple doesn't launch a MacBook with an NVidia graphics within the next 12 months I will be switching away from everything Apple. That is - get rid of EVERYthing - and switch to Android + a linux-based PC + laptop.
 Posted November 19, 2018 I still have my iPod classic. Just love it. I also got a 15" MPB 2018 base model and honestly, there are very few compelling windows alternatives offering such hardware and durability. And, Machintosh is way more powerful even in doing basic stuff. You just have to get used to it. I use it for programming and that is the best machine you can ask for... Of course, you can't game on it or work on Microsoft development stuff but, unix shell is far more powerful that ms-dos.
 Posted November 19, 2018 I had an iPod Touch 2G back in the day, followed by an iPhone 3GS. Then no Apple products for 8 years, and now I own a 2009 Mac Pro, which I bought faulty because I wanted to build a PC in the case, but fixed the fault (the problem was that it hadn't been cleaned in 9 years so the heatsinks were a bit dusty to say the least, so after a vacuum and new thermal paste it was as good as new) and have been using it as my main rig for a couple of months now. Turns out dual E5520 Xeons is still plenty powerful nearly 10 years later. Unlike the Macs of today, it was designed to cool the components and to be upgradable, so when I can find a good deal on an ex miner RX series card, I'll upgrade the GT120, but to be honest it still runs Sketchup and Fusion fine so I'm in no rush.
