Just got FAH running on my machine. First tried on my openSUSE install, then with ubuntu 18.10 and after much coffee admitted my lack of skill. And for just to get to see how this works with my computer I am now running this on Win 10.

Hey @Ben Quigley I'd be interested to know where/what time you got these stats. EOC is showing that I did 713001 Points yesterday.

To everyone else: Hey, been folding on and off since 09 for OCN, have been out of the scene for a while but thought I'd throw a few points in and join in the fun.

Currently folding on a GTX 780 and a GTX 1080.

Our updates are pulled automagically at 23:00 from the EOC servers, this event runs in GMT time. The updates are pulled at 23:00 due to the fact that Stanford and EOC servers match up on this update cycle as EOC only updates every 3 hours, so we can verify our data by comparing the results.

Also, welcome to the team!

Seems a bit low for fah reporting 1.15M PPD, almost like the 1070Ti and an NACL client are the only things doing any work. This is really odd, because the last time I checked the 7970s were both at 95% usage and spitting out quite a bit of heat. Will investigate when I get home.

On the first day of the event we have seen four people take more than half of all the points for the event members. We have, rather expectly, King Poet in first place with just shy of 5 million points, with a sizeable gap to myself with 2.3 million.. Porina and Gorgon coming up in the next group both just a little over 1.8 million. Dissit and Palespartan are both hovering around the 1.5 million point mark for today. Givintvt, TVwazhere and stilnman are coming in at the 1 million point park. RollinLower seems to not have made his mind up in he wants to move further up into the top 10 sitting at a comfortable 950k. And that concludes top 10 watch! Thank you all for participating and thanks for reading, the shear number of you guys involved has really astounded me, to the point where I’ve completely had the change the way we track and comment on your results. But the real question is, who can take the heat? Can @King Poet keep on screaming ahead without dropping the protein. Can @Ben Quigley hold onto number two or will @porina come and smoke him out. @Gorgon is right up there and is poised to try to push into the top three but does he has the steam, er, silicon for such a maneuver. @palespartan is so close to getting into the top 5 if only he could push his rigs that little bit harder. But, there's only one way to find out, and that's to read on tomorrow!  Also guys, don’t forget we are keeping a close eye on Mr Laz0r @Jamesas he is the only LMG staff to join I guess we should give him so special attention, at 670K he hasn’t impressed so far. But he has the chance to really make a splash if he can thing on his feet and convince Linus to help him out, we will see how it goes over the month!

I was commenting on another persons problem, sounds likely that the passkey isn't configured though.

This makes me want to do something with the 970 I have lying around doing nothing... but since my current setup was recently moved to mITX I'd need to build a low power system. I still have the skeleton of my old system though (z97 mobo, 600w psu, ATX tower) so all i really need is small storage an a haswell CPU....

*Edit* bought a i5-4570 on ebay for around $65, by next week i should be putting an extra 350k into my score :)

I turned on an NACL client last night, accidentally left it to fold for team 0. It can be the passkey/username is wrong or something, so I’ll check that when I can.

The REALLY weird thing is that they aren’t getting points for any other teams, so I have no idea what they’re doing.

So, I've been having this issue of my computer freezing after folding for like three minutes, no matter what power the folding is at.

Hm, I must admit I expected to be higher on the boards.  I guess it's a good thing though that so many people can devote so much performance :D

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You can always try to get some more performance from somewhere.

You can always try to get some more performance from somewhere.

Well I could pretty easily bump my performance by another 150k but I'd also nearly double my power consumption :P

Plus I expect this number to rise anyway... I estimate I'm making at least 300k PPD on average if not 350 so hopefully that will happen on it's own

I mean, here's my client:

and it runs 24/7, and it always says this, plus or minus a bit.

It'll probably lower a bit but we'll do science all weekend...hopefully.

So, I've been having this issue of my computer freezing after folding for like three minutes, no matter what power the folding is at.

What does the folding log say?
