Steam approved it's first uncensored adult game

Negligee: Love Stories was part of a group of erotic "visual novels" and other games that were removed from the service or held up for approval in recent months amid a crackdown on "sexually explicit" content on the store. Many developers responded to that restriction by adding black "censor" bars to the Steam versions of their games, then directing players to outside sites for downloadable patches to remove those bars.

Now, though, Negligee developer Dharker Studios says an uncensored version of the game "has completed the steam review process" and will be available without any need for patching on Friday, September 14.

After adding new filtering tools which allow users to opt into seeing "Nudity or Sexual Content" and "Adult Only Sexual Content" on the Steam store (those are two separate categories), Valve has approved Negligee: Love Stories for release this Friday, a game which was previously held up while those tools were being developed.

"I am happy to confirm Negligee: Love Stories has completed the steam review process and will be our first every 100% uncensored game on steam, no patch needed," writes the developer.

Yes the filters are already in the shop, from what I've read game devs can now fill in forms to apply for the new filters and get their games unlocked for specific filters.

Just early access things. (ignore PUBG, ARK, all those other early access games that went live and were still garbage)

Seems odd considering I use Wallpaper engine continuosly and it's infested with anime and Overwatch porn. Real people is off limits though, because somehow it's less explicit when it's anime girls getting covered.

I'm just glad the guy added a filter to sort that stuff out, even though not everyone uses it...

Go into the offline mode.

I suppose unfortunately you still can't hide anything in your gamelist or profile from friends.

I'm suddenly reminded that people used to gift each other dogshit games like Bad Rats since it would end up in their Steam library forever and they couldn't get rid of it.

Which then reminds me that one guy had to argue with Valve and bring up the EULA and TOS to remove games from his account he no longer wanted. I think that's awesome. Can't even delete the shit you own, that you bought, with your own money, from this stupid "service."

Wrong, you can contact support (the same overlay where you start your refunds) and instead of asking for refunds there is an option to delete games out of your library. Would have shown a screenshot but my workplace blocks steam

Maybe they changed it then. Wasn't always the case.
