what PC spec could help get games to run 4K, HDR max settings, 10bit, ray-tracing at 98fps?

saif96

my soon to be PC spec in the next week will be

Asus dual-fan RTX 2080ti

i7-8086K 5.0ghz

asus Z370-f mobo

32GB 3200mhz G.Skill Rams

SSD-970 Pro 1TB

and even with all these spec i still doubt i can achieve 98fps on all triple A games like tomb raider, GTA5, Rainbow Six, Battlefield 5, metro, total war, etc...

what do you think might help get me into 98fps at 4K, HDR, max graphics, 10bit ray-tracing? the reason why i want it at those settings is because i think it would go so well with a PG27UQ asus monitor but what would help? or do you think my spec is enough?

a single card wont get you 100 fps on AAA titles in 4k. The 20 series just is not looking that advanced over the 10 series. (side note, neither HDR nor 10bit color affect a GPUs ability to render a frame. That is all monitor dependent).

My Build, v2.1 --- CPU: i7-8700K @ 5.2GHz/1.288v || MoBo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming || RAM: 4x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 2666 14-14-14-33 || Cooler: Custom Loop || GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black, on water || PSU: EVGA G2 850W || Case: Corsair 450D || SSD: 850 Evo 250GB, Intel 660p 2TB || Storage: WD Blue 2TB || G502 & Glorious PCGR Fully Custom 80% Keyboard || MX34VQ, PG278Q, PB278Q

Join me with NVLink 2080Ti, and together we shall rule ray tracing galaxy.

Though i doubt 4K Ray Tracing would be useable on graphically intensive games like BF5.

Graphic cards are not magic, they still can't do 4k max setting gaming at 100fps+, especially if you add Ray Tracing on top of that, which is said to tank your fps further down.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

so would you recommend a 2nd GPU? or watercooling?

watercooling would cost $500 in my country (i checked) with the taxes and shipping cost, and a 2nd RTX 2080ti will cost about $1320

so whats the better option?

Like i said, a single card (water-cooled or not) will not get you 100fps on max graphics at 4k. If that's what you want, you'll need 2 cards. And even then, it won't be guaranteed, unless developers follow NVIDIA's lead to "Make SLI Great Again"

Uhhhh. RTX 2080 Ti struggles to stay above 40 fps at 1080p with "kinda raytracing some stuff". It's amazing that real-time raytracing is even possible.

You're dreaming bud. Maybe after a generation or two. Also why 8086k? 9th gen launches in like a couple of months and 9700k will have soldered IHS and 2 more cores. Just wait man.

Something tells me that a delidded 8700k will still out-thermal-perform a soldered IHS

You must have a lot of cash to throw around to be concerned with that distinction...

Does PG27UQ even have the color performance to display that accurately?

If you don't have mobo and other stuff yet you could try to sell it and just take a slight loss? I would anyways.

No, it wont. Titan V is a huuuuuuge die (the largest actually). The titan V doesnt have the rt cores so it will obviusly beat it in raytracing as it doesnt have the hardware, but the Titan V is fast through brute force. If it had the correct drivers it would be even faster.

Look at the cudacore count. The V has 5120 cores. The 2080ti has 4352 cores. Ill let you do the math

Even with a sufficient cooling, there's no way 2x 2080ti's can run 4k + raytracing at 100fps. Heck i'd even be surprised if it  ran at 60fps for ray tracing 4k.

mehh... im tired of selling my stuff everyone acts like a jackass and everyone bearly reply on my post when i try to sell my items on a local website like ebay but from here, like for example

i wanted to sell my DXracer table for $300 and everyone calls to buy my $3000 pc because both of the items were in the same pic, i dont know why they dont read the title of my post but like 5 people called and told me they wanted to buy the pc and said $300 is too much and they'll take it for a $100 i told all of them the PC isn't for sale im selling my table and all of them hanged up,

i mean if i wanted to sell my pc why the fuck would i sell my 3000 pc for 300 and why do all of them think 300 is too much for my pc? its just soo stupid i dont wanna sell my stuff anymore i rather just give it to a friend or a family member to be honest cause all of them i talked to were idiots

Hmm I think the 2080ti will outpreform the Titan V in games tho (non rt). From what we've heard the 2080ti will be about 40% faster than 1080ti in regular fps metrics and we know Titan V isn't. Even if its better then it's still overkill for most people and garbo value compared to Pascal but...

I mean if this guy can just afford it no problem and plans to play at 4k hdr then why not I guess.

Well I'd just take a pic of the cpu and put it up for auction on ebay starting at like 300. Your call tho.

i will believe it once is see benchmarks. if the 2080ti is faster it is purely due to drivers and Nvidia gimping their Titan V gaming performance (not that big of a deal since it is not a gaming GPU).

i dont trust any benchmarks untill release. Nvidia`s own benchmarks seem missleading at best
