Is it okay to release 2080 Ti & 2080 benchmarks here?

mikedrewsmy

Since I will be getting the 2080 Ti  & the 2080 real soon (before launch date) and I do not sign any NDAs (since I paid for it),

Is it okay to release the benchmarks results here?
Will LMG get in trouble since I posted it here? (and they had to adhere to their NDA)

they'd be 'your' benchmarks, not LTT/LMG.

so there is no agreement to you from not displaying them.

i didn't hear that pre-orders where shipping before launch day..

Depends if the NDA mentions content from other people on their site.

If not then I'd imagine you'd be fine in legal terms. Whether it'd still be allowed or not by lmg themselves is another question.

I guess living in a backwatered country actually helped :P
As mentioned by the distributors, the item went through the customs late this week.

Don't release anything personal, if they're able to track the distributor someone's going to have an earful.

I don't see a problem with it since it's user generated content and not something that anyone representing LTT made. So legally LTT can't get in trouble for it. However, NVIDIA might tell LTT to remove your post.

That aside, as long as you're thorough with the details around your benchmark (like your system specs down to driver version and possibly how up-to-date your OS is) and you use benchmarks that the rest of the press typically use along with their methodologies, the community will likely accept your data. Then again, I think some circles will still accept your data anyway for cherry picking.
