They aren't looking for more employees at the moment, afaik.

They make "We're hiring" types of videos when they want to hire someone and they mostly look for people in Canada.

They look for people who they'll actually benefit from having around, like editors, for example.

Don't let that discourage you though, you can always find a store that'll hire you for your knowledge, you just have to look for it

Firstly, welcome to the forum! We hope you like it here.

To answer your question, probably not. When they're hiring they'll put out a request, and those are generally for people with specialized skills such as editing or writing, not just computer knowledge.

What you can do, however, is head to your local computer store and apply for a job there. It's a great way to get started.

it's time

Their current job offerings and job info is here:

http://www.linusmediagroup.com/jobs

Oh wait, that site is empty.. in the past it held their job openings (perhaps they don't have one at the moment) and I think a short piece of text about how you can always just write an email if you think you are a fit member of the team and have something to offer them.

Please write a cover letter and resume. The cover should contain your background with computers, why you think you'd be a good fit, and any experience you have with media production. Print everything out, staple it, and put it in a paper shredder.

I think they have a careers page on somewhere.

Additionally try Facebook. I found a local job that pays well. It’s not computers but there was a computer job. Any job is better than no job. Local newspapers and magazines might have listings. Finally you can try your town, county & city. There are some jobs for computers like IT people for schools and whatnot.

You will likely have to pass a test. The military is also always seeking Computer people. Their trainings also serve as college credit in some countries like the USA.

Is kind of a meaningless statement. How are you "good" with computers? What kind of skills do you have?

The ability to build your own PC and install Windows is almost worthless in the IT world - anyone can do that. And as for LMG specifically, they have plenty of people who can build PC's - they typically need someone with at least one (or more) specialization in a highly skilled area.

You don't seem to be networking hard enough. Shitty jobs in the service industry is easy to get locally. If you want more professional and career oriented jobs in certain industry, you will need to relocate if your local areas have none. IT people go to silicon valley. If you have neither the financial resources or skills to make it there, just settle for a shitty job like washing dishes. You won't be doing it forever. You can always get out when opportunities come around. Always network. You can like simply go to bestbuy geeks squad and ask if they need help.
