RGB controller, blu-ray/dvd, lots of 3.5 drive bays, reservoirs, usb/sd readers, lcds, fans, speakers,

thats all that comes to mind right now

Old but neat tech:

Tape library

Magneto Optical drives.

A little bit of work, but what about some analogue gauges to show temp, CPU usage, etc

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

Hot Swap module

5,25" Floppy

CD/DVD ROM

MO-Drive

I think also a Jazz

Sound Card's 5,25" Panels (some Terratec like DMX 6Fire 24/96, some older ones, Some Soundblaser Live or Audigy ones)...

There was/is a bunch of stuff you could put in there.

 never seen sound card,

Yeah, but only the highest End ones have those Front Panels.

Audigy Platinum, Terratec 6Fire 24/96, I think EWX64 also had a front Panel and also some other highest end sound cards....

At the time it was like 300bucks plus for those...

The Sound Card itself was ISA or PCI, it just came with a Front Panel where you could connect things to.

And some even had a Wavetable Connector inside the Front Panel.

Yes, those were also available.
As were some boxes where you could put stuff in If I remember correctly...

In the olden Days there was a time where you had a couple of 5,25" bays with nothing to put in there.

There were no CD-Drives at the time. And nobody used/needed 5,25" Floppys at the time.
