Are LTT forums declining?

KarateHottie93

Since I came back here, it just doesn't feel near as busy as it was a couple or three years ago. I've also noticed that a good bit of popular members I used to really like haven't logged on in ages. Maybe it's just nostalgia goggles but external input would be nice.

I think it would be more than there really hasnt been any real new launches of tech that need help in setting things up. Everything has been out there for quite some time and there is a TON of information out there now that people dont have to ask questions as much right now. It will probably pick up should new tech get launched with new things.

Spot on, no new tech so no new queries. Once new tech comes out, that's when new people come in to join discussions. In the mean time, there isn't very much to talk about.

Nothing really new or interesting to me really for me to jump in and pitch my comment. That's why you see people like me who are not as active as they were when they joined.

There's also some who left, for one reason or another.

I've noticed a slight decline in activity since I joined, as well.

Not sure if it was just me being fast, or just other users being slow, but there was a time when I would be the first to reply to every new thread...

this forum is the best when you need to build a new PC.

but people dont need to build a new pc every week.

other than that, the forum is just meh.

a lot of the threads are just circle jerking about PC vs mac, android VS ios, console VS PC and such.

I felt that either I am getting tired to argue online, or I am getting old. Or some of the thread are just childish.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

Forums in general have been declining in popularity. I've got a forum for console modding, but it's dead. There are almost never new posts. I keep paying for it because I can't bring myself to end it.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

I joined September 2016. I've seen a slight decline.

Not saying it's a big one, but there definitely has been one.

I joined 11/2015 but only posted a year later and I have to say 2016 is the time the this forum has received so much traffic especially for topics that are quite sensational and against the CS. @Ryan_Vickers knows this. ^_^

Well, a few of the more active members have been banned over time too.  It's not just a traditional decline.

I can't give a comment on that matter.

2016 also saw an uprise in members due to the Razer Blade/Blade Stealth giveaway.

Not gonna lie, that's originally why I joined. Then later I remembered that I had an account here and decided to be more active :P

We do have activity numbers but I haven't seen them in ages.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

No, there's actual charts that show average number of online users posts per week over months and years
