Cat urinated on my motherboard!!!!!

Well, sad story guys...... a cat (probably that was Linus') just..... urggh!!!! on top of my system. A foul smell at the first place, and then I just found out that it was inside the case and urggh n disgusting. I ran test on the system hoping that it will post. I tried connecting a post speaker, but I never heard even a beep. Can you guys help me on how to fix this shit??? currently using GBT GA-H81M-DS2..... I would appreciate you if your effort will work, plus I'll send you Steam gift!!!!!!!!

You never turn electronics on when there's the presence of liquid on it as it'll fry it best bet would be to remove it wash it with rubbing alcohol and hope you didn't already kill it.

you shouldn't have turned it on it could have shorted a lot of connections. Unplug it asap and remove all the parts and wash them. Let them dry completly for some days and then turn it on again

If you turned it on while it was wet, it's most likely dead. Either way, don't keep electronics near pets.

man if if dropped it in a pool but dryed it later it would work aging. Urine is more conductive than tap water, all that spread on your board may have fryed it all

Id call you lucky if only the mobo got fried. Hopefully thats all that died. Dissasble and wash with alcohol. Leave it to dry im a warm place for a week.

Its too acidic liquid I am worried about your mother board if you are not getting beep sound there may be some problem in motherboard now you should contact someone who is into motherboard repairing

complete disassembly and rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. that'll come right out.

Just wash it in the sink. Let it dry, be done with it. Ive had my boards covered in coolant and never had an issue but they aren't an problem like urine. Cat did you a favor, time for an upgrade.
