GTX 11-series release date

I have been waiting for the new gtx-11 series since around christmas. It was originally rumored to be launched in July, but was than delayed to August, as far as I can see. But yesterday, I think, it might have been delayed even more.

My question is:

When will it most likely be launched, and how will it compare to the GTX1080 ti (price-wise and performance)?

This has been posted many times before on the forum. We don't work at nvidia so we don't know when they'll be released, and everything is a rumour at this point. 11 series GPUs are rumoured to be pretty powerful than current gen btw.

Reporters quizzed Huang about when the new GPUs might be released and received the reply “it’s a long time from now.” , this is what a person said in a closed nvidia conference. so i'd say get a gpu now, as most likely it will take a long time for the 11/20 series

let me now talk back to myself and say, you are wrong. look at this post on guru3d. we will not know when it will launch untill nvidia does it

At the earliest a year from now. So if you want to wait, be my guest. Sometimes you just have to pull the trigger. It's not like a 1080Ti will be slow a year from now.

Rumors say $599 for the 1180 but it's just a rumor of course.

supposedly July 30th is the 'leaked' release date.

My only recommendation for people now is if you can wait ~ 2 months for that, wait. If you need a solid graphics card right now, just buy a 1080 Ti and be satisfied. Worst case scenario you can sell it for a bit of a loss in 2 months to get some of your money back and buy the 1180.

The big thing for me is what the actual specs are going to be... I don't recall the FE 1080 being much of a reason to upgrade to people with 980 Ti's at that time, so unless the rumors that the 1180 will be more powerful than the Titan Xp are true....
