I was swapping out my 1600 and mobo to give to my brother and taking care of all this, I just kinda got stressed out and didn't think about it. I don't know why you just don't return it to Newegg immediately, they will take the returns back and also replace the item for you as well. I have done advanced replacement with them, where they send the new item, and I return the old and am refunded the cost. Well, I don't have to pay anything for advanced replacements, but I believe that is the normal method. Someone telling you to just use Amazon, especially only prime! really isn't helping you right now. Having used both, I have received messed up orders from both. I would almost guarantee whoever picked the order in neweggs warehouse did so incorrectly, or someone stole an item and sealed it up as new. Amazon is great, if you have prime, because they cater to you, but again, there is no reason newegg would not take it back and also investigate the problem as well. Posted May 3, 2018 This reminds me of a time I got an Intel motherboard from Newegg, and found half the pins were smashed down and was missing the IO shield. I contacted Newegg, and sent it back to them (at my expense, unfortunately). They replaced it with no other questions asked. It was the only major dealings I had with them. Granted, my experience differs from those who have had issues with Newegg, but see what Newegg has to say about the matter. Posted May 3, 2018 From years and many thousands of dollars spent with Newegg, I never once had any problems, save for a DOA R9 390 back in 2015. Which they replaced no questions asked and at no cost to me. Get your CPU replaced asap. You paid money for a new product and the product you received was obviously not new.
