Incredibly slow powerline speeds..

So a while ago I bought a powerline adapter, and I get around 60 Mb/s down, which is still half what we pay for... even a crappy laptop from 2009 can reach 120 Mb/s and this cant...

Either way, everything was fine and then my it randomly dropped. My ping is in the hundreds, I can't even get 5+ Mb/s with powerline. When I try my WiFi adapter, which is also garbage, I sometimes get 50, but them it drops to around 8.

 

Does anyone know any permanent solutions? At this point I'll do anything to get the speed we actually pay for... Except directly wiring it, since the router is too far.

 

Or any temporary solutions, or maybe answers to why my powerline adapter randomly went "bad". I've restarted my computer and unplugged/reset it multiple times....

Have you tried warrantying it? Or contacting their customer service?

What do you have against wiring?

Get a flat white one and run it along the corner of the wall and around door frames.

I can't. I dont like in my own house and my parents wouldn't allow it, and the router is in a pantry, so I'd always have to keep it open, which again, wouldnt be able to do.

If you do it properly it is basically invisible.

A flat cable can come out of cabinets or run under carpet without it being noticeable.

Hmmm... Alright I most likely wont be able to do it but what cable would you recommend? I need around 30-40m if I were to do it.
